Hi does anyone no where I can source a new nvram ecu chip from part no ds1230ab-200-ind. It's the one that holds the adaptive values and has an internal battery.
I'm thinking my battery must of failed as when I try to examine the adaptive data without the engine running (which I believe is possible) it tells me no data available. If I start the car and run it for a while then the adaptive tables suddenly become available but will be lost again by the following day.
Any help much appreciated.

I was being to strict with my search then looking for the exact same chip, because it looks like there's a few different speeds to choose from. Mine is 200ns, power is 70ns and RS have a range of different speeds to choose from.
So I presume they are all compatible then.

AFAIK as long as its at least 200nS access speed it should be fine.

I replaced mine a few years ago with I think a 150nS chip.

Ok that's good to know.
All the ones available are quicker than 200ns so I'll order one and see how it goes.

Just received a pair of DS1230AB-200 from China for £11 delivered, eBay #273089913502

One ECU I have is an extremely early MBE so I thought it would be worth replacing the memory

Sadly it will be a while before I can test them, as I don't have a working engine at the moment

This is interesting, after resetting my adaptives, the odd bank remains absolutely blank (not a single entry) for a very long time. Then suddenly, one day it has values in it.

Could this be due to an NVRAM issue?
