We had a full afternoon sorting through the wiring and sorting what we have and what we dont have as all the carpets and trim is finished so time to face my Nemesis however Phil kindly came over and took charge of this side of the project which is fantastic Thanks mate.
However while we where at this point we checked the steering bushings and they where shot so we removed the column as it needs refurbishing as well.
However when checking Rimmers there are two options the original OE ones or the uprated ones what I was wondering is has anyone used the uprated ones and what difference they made concidering they are 5 times the price I wanted to know was the upgrade worth it I presume the uprated are like polly bushes but thought it worth checking here.

Also ordered up some of these for the steering column stalk covers on the Tuscan and the Vixen.

I bought the up-graded bush for the top of my column, the lower end is modified to be supported through the bulkhead (similar to my S Series) and I no longer have that iffy bush/bearing thing on the chassis supporting the intermediate shaft .

I found the standard bushes were of such poor quality I had more "slop" than with the worn out originals!

How many stickers did you buy !!! got a spare pair? wink
