Hi Peeps..As the year is rapidly heading towards crimbo i thought it a good time to get your feedback on the annual Wedge Christmas Dinner...

I have a suggestion, Due to the Stables letting us down again although they did try i thought it might be worth giving someone else a try this year..

I sometimes pop into this place... Its nice..Nice food...Nice staff..NICE!!
The Wharf

I spoke to them today and they are more than happy to accommodate us...There is a £60 charge for use of an area just for us which split between us shouldn't be a problem.

They will need me to firm it all up in a couple of weeks as the bookings come in fast and furious soon...They have various finger buffet's which are as is but amendments for dietary needs are applicable.

I will pop up an example of menu soon...

They also have a carvery and general good food..The setting is quite nice and its a Shepherd Neame brewer...Yummy...
They also have ample parking outside overlooking a lake with a fountain in and when i speak to the landlord next week i will see if the can reserve an area as he do like his classic cars..

So can i have your thought's please...It will be on a Saturday afternoon, Probably a couple of weeks before Christmas itself....Cheers...Ziga

It's not too bad for me to get to and has the added attraction of the return trip through the dartford tunnel in second gear ;^)

Sounds good to me, very close to the Dartford crossing so ideal for us Essex dwellers...

Here is the menu for the finger buffet, i thought this would be more appropriate than a full blown meal, Although this can be an option...There is a £60 despot charge on the seating area which will be reserved for us, There is also ample parking outside....If you wish to come and have any particular needs...i:e Vegan...Vegetarian...Halal...Kosher then please let me know... Cheers....Ziga

Hi Peeps...Has anyone else given it any more consideration as i really need to confirm it soon...If no-one is interested then it will just be a spot of lunch and a pint rather than a reservation...And i don't mean a Cherokee one....We were there today for coffee ..Its a nice place..

On a different note...I was in Greenwich park on Thursday and spotted these...I always thought that sweet chestnuts tasted the bollax but this is taking the biscuit...
...hehe

Given the level of interest I would just let the venue know there may be a group and if there are more than expected then people will have to make their own arrangements on the day fella
