Calender Invite on Ipad

I have two email accounts on my ipad and iphone. My Apple one (@me.com) allows me to invite people to meetings in conjunction with the calender app. My company email does not. Having spoken to a genius at an apple store he says I need to have the settings changed on my company email server. Does anyone know what settings I need to change?
