Hello guys, I'm looking at getting a track day car, something similar to a Tiger or MK Indy kit but need to make it road Legal.....what is the bare minimum it will need to achieve this? Reading all the .gov sites is useless. Just goes on about all the different forms you need to fill in and nothing about what i have to actually do to the car! This is a new venture for me so don't really have a clue other than lights, indicators and a horn?

There are enough for sale that I'd advise you buy one that meets your criteria. SVA will make it very hard to get road legal if the car isn't registered.

If it a track only car that's not been built with passing IVA in mind then could be a lot of work.

This link will take you to the IVA manual with all the requirements...
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploa...

Once you've got through the VOSA's IVA test (£500)then you can apply to register it through DVLA

This is probably a subject for the kit car section where there's loads of expertise or locostbuilders.co.uk

It can be hard to register a car via IVA if you do not have a fully documented build with receipts etc. Have a look at the declaration you have to sign. The inspection manual itself is here BTW.
