Thinking of a lexus gs300! Anything to look out for?

I'm looking into getting rid of my trusty old volvo s60 d5 and thinking if the 3rd gen gs300 v6.( around 2006) My main criteria is spacious and comfortable as I don't do big miles but I race a fair bit and travel long distances to race weekends around 10-12 weekends per year!
It needs to be able to pull my radical and trailer (aprox 1200) so any gearbox issues? Or are they generally strong? My volvo auto box is not the best but as of yet has never let me down!
I have found a nice 2006 car with 45k miles for decent money and intend on looking within the next 2 weeks so is there anything I should be wary of? Things to check etc? Or am I best to avoid and look at other options.?

Th Lexus Owners' Club would be the UK forum to check, but there might not be much info, because not only are there comparatively few GS300s in the UK, their owners aren't likely to be the forum/spannering/modding type.

There's a lot more info on Club Lexus, but it's really a US forum.

The only thing I remember seeing was a sort of recall to fit new piston rings to resolve a misfire at tickover, but that may have been only for the GS350.
