On My VXR8 I found the vredesteins to be much much worse in the wet & cold than my previous Falken 453's, if you look in the specs the vredesteins (C) do have a worse wet rating than the 453's (B). again on my VXR8 not Monaro. But they were still better than the original Bridgestones (Rubber gone Hard).

Once you've chosen your tyres and ordered them, is there a favoured fitting service?. I'm surprised not to see Michledever Tyres mentioned, is there a reason?.

Nope. Nothing wrong with Micheldever as far as I know.

Im going to be needing some new tyres soon.
My Monaro VXR is standard, most seem to recommend the MPSS which im happy to go with, whats the cheapest/easiest way of getting them, buying online then chucking them in the boot and driving to the local tyre fitter or just driving into the local Kwik-fit and saying I want some new MPSS tyres.

And how much are MPSS tyres....... you may as well tell me while im sitting down.

Can I have a sanity check please. What is the tyre size/s for a Monaro VXR LS2. Reason being they questioned whether they are the same size all round, which made me uncertain.

For Interest they quoted Continentals @£190 Ea and Michelins @£195 Ea but a £40 Discount for all 4 (£185Ea)

If you do change the rears to 255s, they're often cheaper too, e.g. currently £170 on camskill vs £180 for 245s...

Difference in diameter is negligible for speedo accuracy.

Apparently so, but I believe we're advised against it for a reason I can't recall

Well I'm very much looking forward to my trip to Micheldever Tyres this afternoon. When changing my discs at the weekend I noticed the tyres I have are a bit of a mis-mash, well they are!

OSF Autogrip Radial F106 245/35/19
NSF Autogrip Radial F106 245/35/19

OSR Runway Enduro916 245/35/19
NSR Primewell 245/35/19

I have a full set of Michelins put-by for my visit, I think I'm going to notice quite a difference smile £740 All-in
