I understand that a forum like this needs moderation.
The only posts that I know were deleted by mods, I agree with the deletion.
But : another forum I frequent, deleted posts are replaced by a placeholder, saying either
"This post was deleted by a moderator", or
"This post was deleted by the author"
No names given, post is gone for good, but it makes it clearer when moderation occurs. It also mekes it less confusing when you visited a thread that has been moderated since your last visit.
Is this something PH would consider implementing?

I was just about to post a topic on disappearing posts.
It seems recently there are a lot of threads that suddenly have posts missing.
For example : http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
littleredrooster quotes covboy and the original post from covboy is missing.
Is this mods removing more and more posts? These threads are becoming frustratingly confusing.

Don't be so quick to assume it's the mods. Remember that users can delete (or edit) their own posts. It seems recently there are a lot of threads that suddenly have posts missing.

However, you need to check that thread that you've linked again: from what I can see there have been no posts deleted at all (heck, there haven't even been any posts edited).
I did wonder if users were doing it.
However in that thread I linked, littleredrooster has quoted covboy, however there is no post from covboy?
So either covboy has deleted the post, or has been misquoted/quoted from elsewhere. The fact it has happened more than once on various threads confused me!
(didn't mean to go finger pointing at the mods!)

Are you looking at the same thread? So either covboy has deleted the post, or has been misquoted/quoted from elsewhere. The fact it has happened more than once on various threads confused me!
All of littleredrooster's posts contain complete posts from covboy. Could there be a problem with the browser/device you are using?
This is what I see in the only post where littleredrooster has quoted covboy:

Firstly is it a "managed" section of motorway with compulsory limit signs (Inside the red circles)
Ahhh...I might have misread the OP. I doubt that Wales is that advanced, come to think of it. If no red circle, then only advisory limit. I'll put me glasses on next time.

Secondly if the OP was travelling so close to the truck (even at 50 ish) so as not being able to see them, I think perhaps he was too close !
Completely agree.jeremyc said:

I think i've seen the one on Ebay you're referring to, and it is a Solid Mass Flywheel, not Dual.
Some people do replace the DMF with a conventional Solid Mass Flywheel. However there are reports of the engine being very "clattery" after doing this, as the DMF is there to reduce vibrations etc. Also when the engine was designed it will have been bench tested with DMF and who is to know what putting a different weight flywheel on the end of the crankshaft is going to do to it.
I personally wouldn't do it, but there are people who do.
