A colleague of mine turned up at work earlier with this gadget.
He challenged us all to guess what it was then admitted he didn't know either!
So, over to you......
It measures about 5.5 inches long (127mm for the youngsters) and looks to be made of either ali or Mazak.

I can't see how you'd use that as a saw setter - that tab doesn't look like it moves jaws anywhere I could imagine putting a saw tooth. Looks more like something you'd use to put a line in a thin material - leather maybe - as it drags through the knurled rollers. Like a miniature bead roller.

In ye olde days, wallpaper came with an "edge" that needed to be trimmed off.

I think this tools trims off said edge.

Easy. It's for planishing the inner (square-radiussed) side of a divulging flange gasket where it tapers out into the diverticulation valve.

Makes 'em fit better and leak-proof.
