Which replacement bulb for a PIR light?
Discussion
Which is the very best sort of bulb for a PIR-activated outdoor light?
I tried an LED replacement, but it worked erratically. Is there a particular type of LED that I should have used?
Eco bulbs take too long to warm up. Plus I figured an LED would be more durable. Was I wrong?
Not worried about price, as I'm only after one bulb.

I think you have to use incandescent bulbs in PIR lights generally unless they are designed for LED. You shouldn't really use CFL in them as they have a surge when they come on. You can get halogen "energy saving" bulbs which look like a normal bulb but have a linear halogen element inside them which would be suitable.
