Am close to buying oven, hob and hood etc but came across this make by accident tonight. Stuff doesnt seem to be that cheap but a high price doesnt equate to quality for sure

I like a couple of their induction hobs and was wondering if anyone had experience of their cooking products?

Thanks

nothing wrong with the product but service and spares in the uk a bit of a pain, something to think over.
The old SMEG retro FAB fridges were made by them, Smeg just added the doors and Bosch tumble driers are made by them so a lot over here have the brand in their home without knowing. They have also bought the excellent ASKO brand and moved production from Sweden to Slovenia (Slovakia?)- not such a great move
I would take at a guess that they don't make the induction hobs themselves. May be wrong.

Thanks for the info. I will try and contact a supplier and see if I can get more info.

I am pretty close to purchasing and their silver colour hobs are just what I need. I am not sure with Gorenje if I am getting anything better than the Siemens one I am thinking of buying. I would rather have a quality product that works great and doesn’t look as nice rather than the other way around.

Thanks again

I have one of their fridges in my kitchen, it was the only glass doored fridge that would go low enough in temperature for beer rather than white wine. Seven years in it is still going strong.

We have a Gorenge dish washer. It's a Bosch.

(That's not some sales guff/bullst. It's a Bosch. Down to the last fastener, rivet. Identical.)

My electronics shop has heard of them, nothing bad, but wouldn’t recommend over Siemens by a long shot, maybe issues of service and parts cover. The shop said I should call a Gorenje main dealer for info.

I called a so called ‘Centre of Excellence’ – Interior Choice in Stevenage, but the guy I spoke to said all they do was order them, couldn’t tell me anything about any of the products, whether underneath some were Bosch etc. I was imagining him over the phone with a blank look on his face and shrugging his shoulders. They don’t even have anything I could look at, nothing on display.

I guess it doesn’t take much to be a ‘Centre of Excellence’, despite what the Gorenje website says.

This sounds like a bit of a risk, maybe best to stick with my Siemens choices.

Some are Bosch for sure but its not a cross the board assumption. There are some Chinese GOrenje's out there and a whole heap of Brandt/ Dedetriech made ones too. Just depends on where they source from at the time. Chances are the induction hobs are Brandt/ Fagor made -most are.
