i got a little fed up with wires for sat nav and chargers running over the radio face etc, so fibreglassed a mount for a charger in the glovebox before it was re flocked.
I've still to put a slotted hole grommet in the hole for the white wire to the radio of the iPod to pass through, so now the all that gubbins (iPod, phone etc) that regularly used to spill out of the lower dash tray onto my feet can be kept and charged in the glovebox.
Good idea! I have found the same, I have a Nokia Lumia, and it's forever falling out the lower dash tray onto my feet - perhaps everything you put in there should be velcro'd! Looks fabulous mate, very impressed ! Thinking of getting mine done over the winter, don't suppose you could give me a vague ball park figure of the cost at all ?!
Have a chat with him directI did a bunch of stripping myself and taking all that old gluey crud off takes ages = money saved. I also repaired the fibreglass panels that were damaged or cracked. Nothing difficult but time consuming
The design also has a big impact. All the quilting etc can add up quick. Just as well it's not my cup if tea!!
I asked dave to keep the design simple and use materials where they work best and are easiest to use. All I said was I wanted carbon and black. The carbon is thick and can be a bugger in tight corners so to a great extent this is daves interpretation if my "keep it simple and cost effective" brief....

With all the "newness" my pedal box is looking scruffy in comparison. It needs a refurb over winter but the faceplate has worn and needs replacing covering painting or something.
Used a bit of vinyl to cover it just to see.....
What do you think?

For you, and any others who may be interested, Steve with the Orange T350 (ShiDevil on here) has had a batch of carbon fibre ones made and I think may still have some available. He used to advertise them on Classifieds, but not at the moment.
If you do a search on his PH name, find one of his posts and PM him then he may still have some left if you want one.
I've got some spare carbon in the garage, some might have a crack at making one of these carbon pedal covers...
also added some footwell lighting that works off the interior lighting when the door is opened.
did the same passenger side too
these are just led strip lights powers directly off the interior light circuit. i changed that bulb to led too so the draw is much lower than std bulbs

Flea bay. they do different sizes 2m strip fits round the hoop if you have a Tam, two 1m strips for the boot and 15cm strips for the footwells. just search 12v white Led or SMD. I will dig the pics out of mine. Look good and you can actually see what you are doing in the dark!Cheers

I'll add to that, you can buy a 5m strip and cut it down to desired lengths. Some simple soldering and you can make up bespoke lengths. You need to get the gel coated waterproof versions.
Also, if you want bright light you're wanting some 56/30 smds with 60 leds per m. If you want dim light you're wanting 35/28 smds with 30 leds per m.
To be blunt, given how cheap they are on ebay you can get a rolls of 35/28, 50/50 and 56/30 smds and choose the ones that suit your needs.

I advertise on eBay now. I'll stick back on Classifieds too. Your interior looks great mate. The black look has always been the way to go for me and your Tam looks great with that look.
