The family have decided to allow the use of their son's head cam footage from his fatal motorcycle crash for a road safety campaign, it's pretty hard hitting I think and hopefully it will make people pay more attention.

Brave of them.

Looks like he was fairly moving. And was it a foreign car?

It makes you realise how quickly things happen, personally I think we need more of these videos released to teach people to be more observant. You're right though, it's difficult viewing.

A tough watch for any motorcyclist, and hopefully grim viewing that would make the myopic, disinterested drivers of the UK actually use things like observation, anticipation and judgement. Sadly, I doubt this video, or any of the others, make much of a difference, as few drivers like to admit their shortcomings or accept that they could improve their driving - the fact is that most drivers think they are up to scratch and wouldn't take 3 minutes to watch this.

I'm surprised at the attitude of the police in this, normally speeding is the scape goat of everything, so its refreshing to see a 'yes he was going too fast, but you need to be constantly looking and aware when driving'.

Of course they are trying to get through to both parties, but its nice to see the campaign isn't just 'slow down bikers'.

That was very quick to happen, its very hard to judge from the film if the car was really late pulling out with bike on top of it or if it was simply way to fast on the bike through a junction. RIP.

Sobering viewing.

I know that junction quite well and I'm stuggling to understand how the car driver didn't see the motorbike.

I know you can get got at any time by the most random things but that just reinforces why I'm not getting on a bike again, on the road anyway.

My wife's cousin died a few weeks ago, age 35, complications following t boning some numpty turning into his path. fk that, I'd rather one less thing take me away from my wife and kids.

As already said, that`s awful but that is the intent.
Brutal, sad and honest and arguably the best way to get the message across.

So true. Sadly, the feckless drivers of this dire country as so wrapped up in their own bullst, screaming kids and telephone that they are fking useless at seeing what's going on around them. Ride safe, stay defensive and keep be ready to brake at all times...

Even knowing what you're about to see, that is very hard to watch. There's something about hearing his last ever word which makes it infinitely worse...

RIP.

speeding biker who has just passed a car blends in as one instead of a bike infront of a car.

Or maybe remind a few bikers the road is not their own personal racetrack
