I've done this track a few times now and really like it. Never seen another performance estate car there though to date. Anyone up for it? It usually thins out pretty quickly after lunch so you get the track pretty much all to yourself.

I've got a V10 M5 Touring, keen to do an easy track day in it at some point and i'm only 5 miles away. Whats the surface like? I did it years ago and i remember it being fairly course in terms of surface and lots of stone chips.

We put on a demonstration autosolo at the Emergency Services Action Day there yesterday, I can say that the bit we used is pretty well swept now with a nice covering of rubber!

Seriously, tarmac was good abrasive stuff, the section we were on seemed fine and nowhere I went struck me as out of the ordinary.

Quite glad it has sold out having just seen this and acquiring an E500 a couple of weeks ago!

Is your M5 Touring black by any chance? If so I've seen you around a few times, parking up at Chippenham railways station and also in the Hullavington Murco garage. Looks very nice!!

The surface is very good, although it is quite aggresive - it wore down my R888s a bit more than I had hoped! No issues with stonechips personally either. I really like the course they lay out - a good mix of fast and slow, sweeping and tight bends with a hairpin and chicane section.

I've taken the day off on Friday anyway so I'll go on the morning and chance it. I'm also going to call and see if there is a reserve list. I don't ever rememeber it booking out like this before so not sure why the sudden surge in uptake - perhaps a car club or something?

Resurecting an old thread but just booked for Hullavington this Friday (6 March 15) so would be great to meet up with anyone local for some trackday fun.

I'm doing Rockingham this weekend. I did Hullavington a while ago though. Think I killed one set of tyres in the whole day. Pretty rough surface but that's what you tend to get on airfield based circuits. Nice and safe though.

Yeah, the surface is quite aggressive. I've got a set of tired R888s to kill off in the morning then going to get some new Nanknag NS-2R (120) fitted over lunch for the afternoon session. Looking forward to seeing what they are like as the reviews seem pretty good.

I'll be there doing the photography for the day.
The weather looks like it will be kind but not warm enough for me to take the Atom and th either half wouldn't like it if I ragged the Superb around.
