I spend a lot of time looking at motorbikes. Until today, I've never seen one in the flesh, let alone running under its own steam. It was in New Romey, Kent. Does anyone know the owner? If so, can you drop me a line at John@superbike.co.uk thanks very much.

I've seen one in the wild too, refuelling at the petrol station in Hornacastle near Cadwell. I'm sure someone told me it was someone from round there, so there's two (or one that travels somehow under it's own steam scratchchin) being used.

Actually, someone posted a picture of themself on one on here not long ago.

There's a V Due Evolution for sale over here. Fuel Injection replaced by carbs, Jolly Moto pipes the works.
16 grand in real money but with 11kms on the clock. Not sure what use it would be other than to a collector

Yup you are correct. An rd500 , i've just found it . The eejit selling it didn't mention bimota in the ad so it missed my auto search , it sold for £8500 ,may well have been more if advertised better .

Good Lord. I was delighted when these came out, I know they didn't work, but I loved them anyway, in the same way that any metal petrolhead loves anything different and a bit mad biggrin

I'd still love one in my fantasy garage.

Has anyone seen a Honda NR750 on the road?

I've ridden one - but only round the yard at Honda HQ in Chiswick. My mate took me up there back in the day when he bought one. The heathen didn't ever ride it though, it went straight into storage as an 'investment...' Lost touch with him now so no idea if he still has it.

Then when I was down in Jerez one year for the Spanish Moto GP in about 1996 - one turned up in the town, filthy, covered in flies with a map badly sellotaped to the tank yikesbiggrin was so nice to see the owner had obviously ridden it a long way down to Southern Spain.

Was this not the bike that was in Performance Bikes a couple of months back? If so the owner has a very special VDue that he keeps as a collectors piece and had the replica put together so he could ride something similar.

Why would you do that?

I thought there were fuelling issues on the first series bikes that could be solved now, making the bikes reasonably usable? Certainly if you had the money to build a replica bike you could get a real one sorted for less, I'm sure!

FE's have Jolly Moto pipes as std. Much better than normal or Trofeo pipes.

Doesn't a certain Mr Martin have one?
