Hello folks.
I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a viable solution to defect the stones and general muck that flicks up on to the leading edge of the outriggers?
I've just had them replaced and although the originals have lasted 18 years, if there's a way it can protect above paint and wax then it's worth looking in to??...
I Should add it's a chimaera I have.

Hi!

I fabricated these up about 3 years ago, works great! I used rubber matting for the rears and silkoflexed them in place, (no pics sorry!)

Got my CAD Engineer to make up a drawing if anyone's interested in a copy, let me know (or maybe I should make them and sell them! lol)

every mot, the tester just assumes they are original fit, and I have no problems with sticking stones, dirt etc. best mod I have done.

I made the final sets a little longer than you see in the picture of them fitted, to protect the full length of the rails.

Any chance of putting the PDF on here? One of the jobs I need to do before I get mine on the road.

Thanks

I made some out of stainless that rivet to the body and are rubber backed so as not to make contact and vibrate against the chassis rails so as not to cause flaking of powder coating etc. I'll try and get some images up.

i made some stainless steel ones for the cerbera, quite a few cerbera owners have them now, totally removable and be lifted up for inspection of the outrigger conditions. held on with cable tie clamps.
