I took the swirl pot off today and when cleaning it up and removing the rust I found a hole in the lower pipe outlet, it's not in great overall condition and it might be just as wise to replace it rather than have the pipe welded - is ACT the only supplier out there these days who sells swirl pots for S's?

Have a look at the mounting bracket though. This was designed for my V8S so you may need something slightly different.

If we're talking swirl pot it'll pick up the standard mounting bolts, won't it?

And your swirl pot will require a top that accommodates a pressure cap rather than the Chim type cap if you are to avoid losing coolent when it expands. Pressure cap on the expansion tank allows for expansion but loses the coolent.

And that is what he did, great workmanship and here it is finally in place, it makes the rest of the engine bay somewhat untidy
