I've also picked up a bit of exotic armour which gives me two grenades, I'm not 100% sure if this perk will carry over to PvP but if it does, it could come in very handy as grenades are VERY useful in PvP.
Two grenades perk does carry over to PvP. smile
Awesome!

Anyone around for a nightfall level 28 or VoG run this evening?
stay in the second room for the nightfall , once the enemies despawn hit him with heavy weapons .You will need some ammo packs

One tip for Vault of Glass guys, Void (with the purple swirl symbol) fusion rifles, heavy machine guns and sniper rifles are very useful.

There are a lot of tough enemies (Praetorians) with purple shields, so stripping the shield early is vital.

Got up to level 19 last night on my first character but wondering whether to start a new character as a titan, my current one is warlock but i think my play style is more titan!

Is the Titan any good? Are all classes pretty well balanced?

We didn't exactly cover ourselves in glory, did we?laugh

Last night's protagonists were:
Young
Quietstorm
TheGuv
Me

Being two men down we were always going to be up against it, so if anyone else wants to join in, then maybe we can attempt another run tonight?

I think with three teams of two, with at least one headset in each team, we'll blitz it (maybe).

This seems to be a pretty thorough walkthrough: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/destiny/2...

Young knows what he's doing, so happy for him to direct (shout at us).

p.s last night was my first go with a headset and I was trying desperately to curtail my foul language. This won't (can't) last.

Apologies in advance.

I'm happy to join in with a VoG attempt. But with the Tuesday reset, tonight will be for getting the Nightfall done on both characters to maintain the XP boost.

I'll have a bit of that.

Managed a few strikes last night before finishing off with the daily on the hardest setting. Thank you, 2 Ascendant Shards! Have to say, the daily/weekly (new one from today?) make a refreshing change from the (now slightly) repetitive strikes. Good work fellas.

Had to go just as TheGuv sent me a friend request. It wasn't personal, I promise hehe

I'll be on from about 6.30pm. Plan to start with the daily (I need some more AS to get to level 28!) and try the weekly (I need coins for Xur!). Jump in if you're in the same boat.

I'll then try to jump into any raid that is going, if there is space! smile

I am a teasing 200 points away from reaching Rank 3 with the Future War Cult. Hope wearing this poxy cape has been worth it. smile

I did the same except my first character was a Hunter and I have to say I've enjoyed playing as a Titan more. Perhaps it suits my style better I don't know or perhaps it's just because you then know what you are doing (making sure you have bounties going all the time, etc). The Fist of Havoc special is also pretty cool. I'm not sure that there is that much in it to be honest (although I don't have a Warlock to compare against)

Level 24.9 Titan now with a level 22 Hunter in the wings

I only had enough time to do the daily last night while she had a soak , although she did spend 90mins playing fifa with me prior to that biggrin

The Hunter class seems to have the weakest armour, but it is absolutely viscious in the Crucible when you know what you're doing - you can essentially spend a lot of the time invisible, teleport around the place and have an unstoppable melee attack that can take out 3 or 4 guys at a time.

The jump on the Hunter annoys the hell out of me though - seems there are quite a few bits of scenery that are built for the bigger jumps of the Titan and Warlock and I really struggle with them with the Hunter.

Titan is an all round solid class, primarily based about firepower and armour, not speed or melee.

If I were you, I'd get your Hunter up to Level 25 so you can do anything but Hard Level Vault of Glass and then think about starting another character - that way you can have two characters earning maximum coins/shards/energy/vanguard marks etc each week.

I think we did pretty well considering there were only 4 of us and most of us didn't have void weapons.

If we had 5 with void weapons or 6 without, I think we'd make pretty short work of it.

Well I learnt several things last night.

The level 28 nightfall is a whole other kettle of fish, even with 3 people. Seriously I've finished level 28 missions solo a lot easier than this but I think someone mentioned it scaled up the more players you have? Needless to say we got out ar*es handed to us! smile

My first go at VoG with a team and while it was tough, I definitely think it's doable with 6 people, 4 just isn't enough to cover all the bases. Definitely up for another run at this and I'll try to find my PS3 Sony headset, I assume this will work with the PS4?

PS It was great fun finally playing with some fellow PH'ers on Destiny, it definitely adds to the experience.

I'm up for this too! I'll be on after 6.30 for daily and weekly missions (I'm lv27) and VoG.

Add me, it looks like the app has been updated so you can't add friends from names anymore? You have to add a link for some stupid reason - https://friendme.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/frie...

I have some good void weapons. And one of those is a fusion rifle that seems to especially like ripping through minotaurs. Time might be against me this week though.

Ideally we'd have max level void fusion, sniper and HMGs and swap between them as necessary, but even lower lever void weapons will help as there are a lot of shielded Praetorians in the Raid.

There's even a void auto-rifle called Aetheon's Revenge that is a random reward during the Raid - one of the few primaries with an element.

Looks like void weapons are flavour of the week - they do additional damage in this week's nightfall! smile

Not quite up there with 15,000 for a precision shot on Atheon with the buff active though is it? wink
