Its just going to be a massive knight , im more interesting in the jumping down into the hell mouth. Surely they will make it even more cumbersome than venus .

Anyone fancy helping a first timer on the VoG tonight? Just hit level 26 so can't do much but would love to give it a try! Got fully legendary armour apart from helmet so just need to hoard the upgrade materials really

Bit gutted I never made it back on to finish off Atheon on that run we started on Friday night. I loved every second of it - excellent fun, and I was surprised how effective I felt. It certainly helped that I walked away with the sniper rifle and the chest armour on my first go!

I've not got much time on the horizon at the moment, since I get married on Sunday coming, so any play time I get will just be focused on Iron Banner to try to hit level 4 so I can replace my gaunts and boots which should pave the way for me to hit 30 once its all levelled up.

But hopefully in December there will still be folks doing Vault and I can give it another go. I'm holding off on the DLC because I feel it was way over-priced. I imagine VoG will still be popular since presumably the new raid will also be a once a week thing.

Iron Banner is now finished. It will no doubt make a return in the future. Congrats on the upcoming nuptials though.

Been on holiday for a week. It is telling how much I play this game given that I was convinced that the aircon was making the same sound as a rocket being fired from Truth.

I've come back to see that I've missed out on the Iron Banner () which is frustrating but on the other hand, I've made the section to buy the DLC. I just don't fancy anything else out there and I'm certain a few of you are in the same boat.

I'll be on later tonight for the nightfall and weekly. As per usual, I start these solo and pray that somebody joins me.

Goddammit seriously?! Didn't it run for 2 weeks last time? Or did I fall into the same trap last time and ask the exact same question?... Queens Wrath was 2 weeks I'm sure... hmmm. Bugger. Really don't think a week is long enough, even with the buffs.

And of course, the next IB will be back to the head and chest armour no doubt, and they have said your level will be reset back to zero in future(presumably the armour will go back to unlocking at level 2 though).

Also can someone confirm to level up my armour I do not need to use it on wear before I turn in bounties, got new level 30 boots and gloves but I take a pounding as they drop my defense big time before upgrades.

ps yougsyr sorry for being a bit useless helping out yesterday, thats when I discovered how much lower my defense is with this new stuff

You will need to wear it when handing it in as the bounties only give xp to items you have equipped, so always make sure you swap to any guns or armour that isn't fully leveled to take advantage of the xp.

Just wear it for doing patrols etc. and turning in your bounties, then switch to your higher defence stuff for weekly strikes and missions. It should level up pretty quickly - my raid boots just took a few days.

If you have enough time to do so, you can switch your armour in the last throws of each strike to get the XP from the strike as well.

No worries, I was only doing the Nightfall as I had about 30 minutes to kill - but my lack of patience finished us off when we were ambushed by those pesky stealth vandals.

It's worth doing the Nightfall before handing in any bounties or trying to earn XP on gear as you'll get an XP boost from completing the Nightfall that lasts all week.

What to do with unwanted legendary/exotic weapons?!

I managed to bag this yesterday, after the Nightfall (thanks fellas ):-



It is a Dead Orbit auto rifle that I have no use for. I already have an exotic auto rifle used for the Crucible and I don't use these for PvE.

I know I *should* just break it down for Energy, but at the same time, I keep wondering "what if" I need it, say because some DLC means this is ideal etc. I don't fancy having to rank up to level 3 at Dead Orbit in order to buy it back.

Do you lot break unwanted weapons down or just store them in the vault?! I should add that I am verging on OCD with clutter both in real-life and in my vault.

The Nightfall wasn't kind to me last night - first run got an exotic helmet (which I already have so, 3 shards basically!) Second run, a legendary rocket launcher when what I really wanted was Icebreaker or an exotic HMG.

Anyone up for a Raid run tonight from about 6:30pm?

I just stick them in the vault, or keep them on alternate characters when space runs out in the vault.

You gain practically nothing by breaking it down (two ascendant energies), so for me it's pointless breaking them down.

I probably should break down my Raid armour duplicates as I could now fit one of my characters out 3 times, but I just can't bring myself to do it!

I'm the same way - I have lots of legendary weapons I will never use!! I tend to wait until the vault and all character weapon slots are full (doesn't take long) and then dismantle whatever is my least favourite (usually shotguns or pulse rifles).
