Hi fellow guardians

I have reached the heady heights of lv 25 and doing strike missions with matchmaking. One thing I cant work out, at the end of each strike how is it worked out what rewards are given out. For example, last night I got 1 and the other 2 team members got 2. But I can't work out why.....

Completely random mate and doesn't reflect your "performance" in any given mission or strike and is a huge bone of contention within the Destiny community.

Going to be running a Vault of Glass Normal at around 7:30pm on Thursday eve. Running through it with a mate who hasn't run it yet. Anyone on here not done it yet and want to join in the guide through?
I'd be up for that if there is a space. I'll put in a friend request tomorrow

Don't forget the vault is all about void weapons.

Qu1vv3r
Moog72

Got space for one more - only pre requisites are a mic & a void damage weapon smile

Other than the odd Praetorian not really. Don't think I've ever completed it with a void weapon equipped.

Yes really. Please remember my comment wasn't aimed at the multitude of people who have done the raid numerous times, it was aimed primarily at Moog who has yet to do VoG.

Outside of Aetheon and Oracles I would say that the Praetorians are the main ground foe. Sync plates and confluxes are all about Praetorians and Minotaurs. In the beginning the we would always call out the Ps and Ms to make sure they were quickly dispatched. I remember the 1st time holding the center conflux, waiting for the relic holder to come out just before Aetheon. I would have been screwed without a void HMG.

This being the maiden voyage into the Vault for some, my advice still stands. Takes some void weapons.

Anyway, I'm in. If I'm in the fireteam and someone's on who has yet to do it, send me a meassge and I'll bail.

Would love to join in but I'm in meetings until about 9.30 pm. If you are still at it then and there's a space, I'll join you. Only done each raid a couple of times and not VOG since before Xmas.

Excellent, looking forward to it as it's something I've been meaning to have a crack at for some time now. Zero experience of the VoG though (aside from jumping up to a chest, courtesy of a checkpoint supplied by lovechild, shards BTW frown )

I've got some void weapons, but I've got a feeling that the Vanguard QM is selling Harms Way HMG with void and I've got to blow my marks on something (need one for the Thorn bounty in the crucible anyhow). I've also got a nearly fully levelled Truth rocket launcher, so should be good to go!

I have a void Harms Way HMG and, I love it!! Have a look at the perks, mine has field scout which increases the mag size to 100 - easily enough to deal with any pretorian or minatour in the VoG. Can't remember what the capacity was without field scout though - mind you, you won't have time to level it up anyway before tonight!

I generally find Word of Crota to have ammo issues but, I know lots of people who swear by it up to Atheon.

Another top tip for the oracles section - Maxed Icebreaker wielded by a lvl 32 can one shot the snipers without needing a critical hit! I would also be very wary of using rockets on the Templar (containment shield plus rockets equals many deaths!!)

Good luck Guardians!! smile

Well my baby hunter that I started at the weekend hit level 20 last night. Then in 30 seconds hit the dizzy height of level 28 thanks to the gear I saved in the vault.

Took /got carried through the nightfall and weekly last night too by Teampenguin and Eastendzombie.

Felt bad for the lads who got multiple Medic medals plus crap engrams and shards/energies. Baby hunter bagged a shiny new Icebreaker for its first nightfall so good result.

Just need carried through Crota Raid now for some armour!

They are at Atheon, but are always there in Normal I think for the Templar.

Shotgun is probably worth having for the Praetorians now, or blind fire Ice Breaker at them. Just call them out they aren't that big a deal.

Could be the sword breaker's first outing, although I've only levelled a couple of bubbles.
