It took twice as long as with the first three people, one of them left, and the remaining 2 of us went to make a drink only to be returned to orbit, so we then had to get back up to Skolas to go again! so technically did it twice as with our first attempt on him, he was probably a Gally away.
Same thing has happened to me before - we took a 10 minute break to get drinks etc. and, by the time we came back had been returned to orbit!! Very annoying and would easily be fixed with a single checkpoint at Skolas.

Finally..... Skolas was beaten, took a while but got an elder cypher bounty of which I chose the Queenbreakers so have that to work on. A hard Crota run also netted me a Thunder Lord as well so yesterday was all in all not bad.
You get to confirm you choice at the end of the bounty chain as well, so even if you picked Queenbreakers now, if you changed your mind and wanted Dreg's Promise, you'd be able to do that just prior to actually being awarded the weapon.

I'm not suggesting you do this, by the way, Dreg's Promise is meant to be... subpar. tongue out

Lord of Wolves is great though.

I seem to be having a lot of connection issues this evening. A couple of PSN errors, then multiple Bungie server errors.

Some sarcasm and some genuine admiration for the young Glaswegian.

Basically, a 12 year old lad bought Destiny and has been desperate to play the raids but none of his mates have the game so he's been confined to solo stuff. My fireteam was left to public and when I was walking around the Tower he jumped into it without a clue as to who I was or what I was up to. Lucky for him I was about to join 4 others to hit up a VoG run, so he finally got to do a raid.

The surprising thing is he knew everything about it. What to do and when, the names of the enemies and the order they appear, even how to use the relic, as he had been religiously watching YouTube vids to see what all the fuss was about. He was so happy to be in the raid that he said he was going to cry and kept enthusiastically jumping all over the place.

Whilst we were all taking the pee out of how young and squeaky he was, there were a couple of parts where he outlasted the lot of us.
It was hilarious as much as it was annoying! Shame it took so long we couldn't complete the run. Guess what I found in my postmaster when I checked today? A Fatebringer. Imagine if dexer434 had ended up with it there would have been real tears!

Nightfall is a breeze this week if you have a Patience & Time as myself, Stimps & Gazza discovered yesterday (Gazza joining the first run at the precise second we both died saving our bacon biggrin). It took, what, 10 - 15 mins per run? Something like that anyhow. Stimps and I even managed a 2 man run on the final one even with me running as my underpowered warlock (must unlock self res smile )

Mixed / largely underwhelming bag of rewards:

Legendary heavy engram: chance of a Gjally! Nope, crappy legendary machine gun
Bones of Eao: probably won't use them, but hey a new exotic
Legendary special engram: legendary fusion rifle frown

Hey ho, another week and no Gjally but at least this time it didn't take ages to get it all done

Moog, I would say you have contradicted yourself there - The bones of EAO are my go to exotic for the Bladedancer class. Triple jump as a Bladedancer makes the class infinitely more useable and a 4th jump as Gunslinger helps you reach places you couldn't get to before.

They are invaluable for any PoE run - I highly recommend you level them up and try them out.

Oh they are definitely in the queue for levelling as I tend to level everything eventually (why not when you are turning bounties in any way?) and I suspect they will come in handy now and again in specific scenarios. Sims was using them to great effect in CE making it a total breeze to jump up to Crota's platform from that raised area in front of him for instance.

They're also one of the hardest exotics in the game to get - you can only drop them randomly from Nightfalls, PoE/Trials chests or engrams.

Moog, wash your mouth out! Bones of Eao are a fantastic PvE exotic. The extra mnobility is invaluable for both sub-classes. While Gunslinger can get quad jump, I'd say its even better on bladedancer. Once you've tried them, its very difficult to go back to life without them!

Crikey, I best make an about turn on said Bones - I shall be upgrading them forthwith and giving them a go. I guess I'm so fixated on getting a Gjally out of the Nightfall runs, that exotic armour feels like a let down biggrin

Won't be doing anything at the moment though as I cannot connect to Destiny servers (even though I can see others are on). There is a service warning / tweet out from Bungie at the moment so at least they are aware of it

Took my new Invective for a spin earlier when I did get on briefly - no upgrades and it absolutely ripped through yellow bar knights, I like that one a lot

Moog, do it, you know it makes sense. As I said, once you tried them and gotten used to them, its very difficult to use any other exotic. In PvP they're perhaps not so useful, but for PvE they're very much my current go-to.

Shotgun wise, Invective is great - but then so are most legendary shotguns. I have three full-auto PvE rolls, including a Fellwinters, and all three make quick work of most enemies. My recently acquired Fourth Horseman can put down majors ridiculously quickly, but it absolutely chews through ammo, and Lord of Wolves is arguably the best of the lot.

I was having all sorts of issues last night; a few times I had message that my internet connection via PSN couldn't be detected despite being hardwired to my router, I had numerous Bungie error codes and even when it was all working I kept getting errors when creating or entering party chat. I even had occasions where messages and invites (put myself and Matty on LFG just to help us finish Crota) wouldn't show up until about an hour after they had been sent. I'm not surprised if servers are down, yesterday was pretty frustrating.

Just as well I couldn't be bothered to do any Destiny last night by the sounds of it. I may log in later to get Nightfalls done and dusted but, apart from the XP buff, there is nothing I want from them. Actually, as I have very little I want to upgrade, I'm not even that fussed about the XP buff either...

After a morning of the lag fest that is Iron Banner, I'd saved up a whopping 5 loser medallions and then this happened...

My controller was very nearly launched at my screen. Closest I've been to losing my sh!t on a video game. banghead

Iron Banner has been pretty unplayable, apart from the login and PSN issues, it has been a complete pain in the arse lag wise, and it really has turned in to a shotgun fest with everyone seemingly having massive range.

Yeah, I'm done with it. It was just getting ridiculous and that golden gun episode was the final straw.

So much lag, so many blink shot gunners with huge range and everyone using Thorn or TLW. Such a frustrating experience all around.

Shame really as I've played every single Iron Banner from the beginning, maxing out several characters each time.

Bungie issued this tweet, but quite what difference it will make who knows

"@Bungie: Bans for network manipulation are being issued in the Crucible. More details tomorrow in the Weekly Update."

I'm not an Iron Banner player, but that video Youngsyr really highlights the ridiculousness of it all

I've stayed out of IB this time round for the exact reasons that Youngsy mentioned.

I think they're banning the lag swichers, ddosers (?) and apparently there's a setting for the playstation which can be changed in the network menu that creates lag. I read about it before IB started and that was a deciding factor in staying out of it.

I've done no PvE all week. If we're on at the same time Speck, I'll do 1 or 2 NFs.
