Fun evening last night, did my final HM Crota run (including one method of distracting Boomers that I'd never seen before which involved jumping behind one of the boomer towers and shooting a wall which means the Boomers shoot the wall trying to get to you rather than the swordbearer) and once again he refused to drop a Crux, not only for me, but for anyone in the fireteam. Quivver, Matty and I made hard work of PoE 34. Three hunters made dismantling pretty easy, but surviving Urrox's rage was tough. At least until I swapped out my hunter for my Titan. Ward of Dawn in hand, we did it second time around.
Also did my good deed for the day and shared Gorgon Maze CP with Zombie. He didn't get his long-sough Gjally, but he did pull a Plan C, which he didn't have, on his first character so that was a pretty nice result.

Thanks Moog. Rubinho popped into party chat as we were about to start, but was adamant that he didn't want to join in for fear of scuppering our attempt. Very noble of him, but as I said at the time, not necessary. We would either do it or not. No big deal, anyone's welcome! Don't mind helping out if anyone still wants to do it. It really did make the game quite intense and interesting again, I was actually nervous doing the sword

Yes Sims, the lag is so annoying. What were you doing with the heavy in the first clip though?
I'll just casually stroll up to 3 enemies waiting for heavy and pull it without any sort of challenge How none of them shot you, I don't know
I'd have had to have chucked a grenade in there and started shooting, you even could have Golden Gunned those fools. Although your nonchalant approach certainly worked.
Happy to Trials later . Got 6 wins yesterday, but it was a strange one. Not a single evenly matched game, every one was a white wash. Be it us on them, or them on us. Still far too many strange and frustrating occurrences though.

There were actually four of them in there. Of course, I didn't realise that at the time but I knew there was at least one and likely more close by so had decided I was going to leg it in there and grab it before they could. If I got out in time to kill them, then great, if not, I've taken one for the team! You should really trim your videos a bit more to keep the focus on the point you're trying to show though, 15-30 seconds is an ideal length. You can do it by highlighting the video in the Capture Gallery and hitting the options button.
I've trimmed them a little more, but both still show what I wanted them to and upon reviewing them it's the same guy in both videos; he's impervious to grenades, Supers and can shoot through walls!
I did get all three classes to Rank 3 today (for the etheric light obviously), but that's all I can be bothered to do. I don't need any more snipers (and I've already got two pre-HoW Efrideet's) and Timurs doesn't pique my interest at all.

I am back.
Having got sucked into ToO (those pesky kids), we were 4-0 up on the first game and proceeded to lose 5-4. It happens.
Card ditched (no mercy), we proceeded to go 9-0 without needing the mercy at all.
Found my shooting boots in the process and so I no longer suck.
Hit the tally of 40 etheric light and managed to bag the missing Adept weapon- the Scholar with void burn. Happy days.
...then played Rocket League. The own goals brought me back down to earth.

I really wish there was an alternative way of "earning" etheric light as I'm stalled because of the lack of it. I don't Iron Banner or do Trials so that's out for me and yes, there is PoE but that relies on getting two other people to do it. I don't always overlap with others and then there is the time it takes to get it done especially if it's a crappy rotation week.Why isn't there a way of getting the stuff that requires a bit of a grind (what doesn't?) but can be done progressively when you have the time and when there aren't other people about? Iron Banner is or can be a solo activity, but PoE / Trials isn't unless you are some Destiny deity player.
My suggestion would be to allow you to spend the now more or less redundant Vanguard Marks, say 100 per etheric light. This would encourage people into running strikes, public events, daily missions, nightfalls and weeklies to grind out those marks and buy some etheric. This can be done when time permits and doesn't rely on having someone else about.
Or if that's too easy, having to spend a "Token of Light" which drops a bit like the other HoW tokens AND a 100 marks, something like that.

Dude, if you managed to finish the Thorn bounty then you can more than hold your own in IB. Appreciate this may not be the reason why you don't participate.
I agree that it is horrifically broken though- some of the chaps I play with have 60+ EL having carried on playing ToO whilst I've been away. They don't scrimp on spending it either
The silver lining is that with TTK, all of this stuff will be worthless anyway. Not long now.

If Singh/Adam/Reese/Kaney are on, ask them if they'll finish the card off with you. I'm sure they wouldn't mind for the sake of a few games and increases your chance of flawless with any of the above involved.Lol, yeah, they spoke to each other in Dutch then said we have to go, so.

You should know that by now Indeed. I just prefer playing with people I know and can talk to because it's just more fun that way. It's also one of the reasons that I still have 2 x level 28 PoEs to do with the other two characters, couldn't bear doing them with some random folks and why I enjoy running the raids, it's always a laugh and I still get a buzz off the rewards Iron Banner is out not so much through lack of talent but lack of time to plough into it
Still, I do now have a self res capable warlock ready for tomorrow's nightfall. He even finished the vanilla story missions yesterday too

Well, completed both charecters on Trials with flawless runs, sadly I got 2 Summoners but will keep the void burn one for those pesky Vex, the two players I was with were very good, not a lot of chance against them really as everyone we came up against realised, didn't lose a match in 24.
