I was on last night for a hour. Many of you I have on my Xbox was in a group/fireteam so I concentrated on was the Eris morn Urn of Sacrifice bounty which i thought was going to be a bh.
But went to skywatch and waited a while and managed to kill Urok.
now just have to see what I get from Xur and see what I get. Anyone know?
I think it's 33 light gloves. If you haven't got any that high already then I suppose it saves you spending some vanguard marks! But went to skywatch and waited a while and managed to kill Urok.

You won't know what xur will be selling until Friday I'm afraid, last weekend was crap (although I know everyone was well impressed with my no land beyond last night) but the week before was good (Icebreaker!)
Last week was great as I managed to get the icebraker. ( scrap that the icebraker must have been the week before)
I have all legendary gloves, lid and boots. But hoping the ones I get will be better
Anyone know where Xur will be this friday
I'd echo simo's comments - I appreciate any and all help to do the raid or weeklies etc, when I get on (which isn't very often) and the daily players have helped me a lot!
I doubt I will be good enough to do Hard mode but I'm glad people are giving it what for!
We've got a good little pot of people on here at various stages of their "destiny" and I'm sure we can keep it up
Party chat is definitely the best bit!

- Might* get online tonight which will be exciting. I'm happy to take any lower level players through the weekly and nightfall (but might struggle to do it on my own!)

Have you heard of the new Crota strategy? clear the first mobs and as soon as you go into the arena head to the room under the boomers on the right, get high take out the mobs, lure the sword guy in as Crota moves to the right and everyone piles on to get the sword, then everyone out up the stairs, titan bubble, then you take him out twice while he's on the right, then through the central room and repeat the same from the left side. almost completely removes the boomer threat and as you're on high the mobs aren't a worry.
This is what the two man team did I think. Worth checking out their video if anyone wants to see how it works. It is the same strategy, but unless you down him with 2 swords you still have to deal with the ogres.
There are a couple of other strategies I'd like to try, such as having one player permanently camped beneath the boomer tower, distracting them. The AI detects the player underneath and starts firing at the floor. All that person needs to do is stay off the ground, out of sight of the sword bearer so he doesn't come running after you and fire their primary at the floor above. You could even have the sword runner down there too perhaps.
To be honest, when using an invisible hunter on sword we had very few wipes due to boomers.
And someone had found a method to get more heavy ammo drops from the first crystal room encounter. You need to completely empty your primary weapon and heavy weapon of all ammo. Then use icebreaker to take down all of the enemies and you'll have heavy and primary ammo dropping everywhere, and they get refilled automatically. If some of the vids on YouTube are to be believed then this does work http://youtu.be/zSZd53V9LGQ
Before it gets patched...............

I did that with Glen and some randoms over the weekend.... it was pretty tedious standing there for 5 minutes emptying primaries though. There are a couple of other strategies I'd like to try, such as having one player permanently camped beneath the boomer tower, distracting them. How much the boomers get involved does seems to vary run by run but they (and Crota) are pretty easy to distract if needed.
Big news, Mrs S is seeing friends this evening so I might be able to get an extended session in.

I think I should quit my job so I can play Destiny full time, I rage as much on the game as I do at work so it's not that different.
I'll be back Friday
I don't know if this has already been done but...I'll be back Friday
Can we all but our gamer tags in to our profiles or as part of our posts?? With all the different PH names and gamer tags I'm afraid I'm ignoring people cause I can't match your names up..

Finally got my first elemental primary (Abyss Defiant auto rifle) last week and I honestly didn't see what the fuss was about.
Managed to level it up to 318 just before today's nightfall. Having used it in the nightfall I now understand just how much of a difference it makes having an elemental primary! Bloody thing blitzed through the hive and wrecked those annoying shielded skanks.
It was pretty useful against witches too as they don't seem to be able to scarper off and hide once you've got their shields down. A 3 man team running 2 of those and a Black hammer would be really effective against Omnigul!
Hope I can pick up the Fang of Ir Yuyt sometime (which means I probably won't)
