They were there to gate the vendor level 31 gear so you couldn't get to 31 really quickly. Now you can "only" buy your way to 32, and a lot of people are 32 anyway, bungie can afford to be more relaxed about vendor gear.

The giant canon thing is very intriguing! Hope it drops during the PoE activity to help clear mobs....and I hope a few people get to have a go with it :-)

managed a VOG this evening with a bunch of strangers and no mics, which made things a little interesting.

I loved all of the GoW's, but not sure it's cutting edge enough these days, polishing up a few graphics and cut scenes isn't very imaginative.
Although GoW Remaster for £20 including Horde mode would make it a good purchase.

I'm game for a VOG normal if you can cope with someone whose quite good in the shooty bits but needs a helping hand on the gorgon caves and the jumping puzzle bit.

Also game for a Scrota. Have the hard checkpoint after the bridge (before hall with shriekers in it).

cheers for the help with my hunter through crota even if it was normal. I only said earlier last week how easy crota normal is when you have a maxed out character you know well. IE a titan for me. Compared to a Hunter I have not spent much time on and has did not have good weapons. I can hold my own with the Titan but not so the hunter yet

Sorry for jumping out of the VOG run this afternoon but by getting to work an hour earlier I'm finishing at 3am instead of 6am.

If I wasn't too st and you get need a 6th man it'd be great to join you again

I now have an Icebreaker, Black Hammer, Gjallahorn, Swordbreaker and Hunger for each character.

It bothers me that I only have two Fangs and only one of each of the VoG weapons(besides the praetorian foil)!

Good fun yesterday. Managed 3 x nightfalls, 3 x weeklys, 3 x normal Crota, 1 x hard crota, 1 x normal VoG and 1 x hard VoG. And it didn't seem to take too long.

And that hard VoG run was probably the best run we've ever had.

Half way through the confluxes we were down to 4 of us and managed to complete it.

We completed the Templar on the first attempt, properly with no cheese.

Gatekeepers were done first go, Glen and myself taking a portal each at the same time.

Atheon finished on first attempt, only taking two rotations.

Biggest headache were the bloody Gorgons, must have taken a dozen attempts to get through there!!!!

Find a husk of the pit (common auto rifle, dropped by hallowed knights I think), upgrade it to Eidolon Ally with an embalming orb from Eris and then to the Necrochasm with your Crux.

It isn't very good though

Edit; just checked and they're only dropped by 'blades of crota' knights on earth and the moon. It's a rare drop though, I've only ever had two

You need a Husk of the Pit. It's a white/common weapon that drops from those sword knights which you can only get from farming the 'Fist of Crota' level now ,as they've been taken out of the Cosmodrome and Moon patrols.

Level it up, takes around 400 hive kills.

Buy the upgrade from Eris to turn it into the Eidolon Ally, legendary auto rifle.

Then upgrade that as you would any other weapon.

Then use the Crux to turn it into the Necrochasm.

Then prepare for a major let down............

Cheers Both, I've had the husk of the pit about 6 times when doing Eris morn hive bounties etc... I'll give it a go or may just see if it's needed in the future for HOW's.

I'm 6000 points out of 10k trying to get the bad juju. I've yet to do any Exotic bounties but this one seems easier than void crucible kills one I also have

Not been on Destiny or the xbox in a few weeks now, loving NOT playing as nothing to gain to be honest, HOW cant come soon enough to jump back into it again although now been relegated to top team z.
