Congrats on the thorn!
I had a funny/odd run in iron banner last night.didn't start til 12 and was pretty drunk!
First game started average but I went on a tear and got my 10 kills AND 3 machine Lords to get my normally two hardest bounties.
Two more good games and I had 5 out of the 6 bounties left with melee kills to go...which is amazingly quickly for me then it all went badly wrong got a few kills in one match, so only needed 2 more to get the bounty and get to level 5...
Next match was right at the end...everyone had supers and I couldn't do anything...so waited for the next one. Was part of 6 singletons up against a good 5 man team and it was carnage. 3 dropped out immediately so everywhere I went I was getting shot by at least 3 people. Managed to get the 2 I needed by charging blindly and spamming melee finished the match out of stubbornness and then buggered off to get the hand cannon.
So in summary my very best, and worse, iron banner experience in 6 games...

Managed to hit rank 5 last night also..
iron banner as a lone wolf is frustrating as hell, all my team ever seemed to want to do was get kills and not bother with the actual objective of the game!!!
Played Friday night Aswell, me and gav had a bit of a better time but could have done with one more team mate to make the zone captures a bit quicker.
Got some good drops over the weekend tho.
2 x btrsd, one with arc and one with solar
2 x radegast, 1 x solar and the pick of the bunch an arc with tracking and triple loadout!!
Also got a bunch of the random drop guns.
Got the iron banner ship drop too!!
Bought the spear and etheric from Saladin, not sure I want the hand cannon

Wuddie - you were lucky on the drops! I think btrd is like my old swarm machine guns. ..They are pretty stable and fast but do mega damage. Unless the other person has a rocket launcher and fast reflexes you will always beat them...I've never seen ANYONE get the ship in the games I've played.
Remal - not sure I'll be on tonight but might be on tomorrow night.
Sundays and Mondays always seem to be quieter. Always a few on on Tuesdays.
Lewmac and morphies and others are often on during the day on weekends.
Goat always seems to appear late at night.
Just read that final round on hand cannons is glitches. If you unload to the last bullet then reload the FIRST bullet will have the final round bonus.
Apparently on thorn you don't even have to do that. Switch to another weapon and back and it will have the bonus on the first bullet. Will apparently do a 113 head shot then, plus the 35 tick damage....
