When you hit 300 exotics have a high chance of dropping at 310. Meaning you can use them to infuse other gear.
I think it's really good, once you've done the raid you've a real incentive to farm three of coins with strikes or the court.
I used the engrams drops from xur to max my helmet. Got the one that adds tracking to rockets, which works well with the raid launcher.
302 and counting.
Still not touched my hunter or warlock.

Phil, did you do an oryx checkpoint last night? Cheers for the help with agon arch rune and CoO. We got on a good roll with another fireteam and I was giggling at how quickly we were killing stuff.
Simo, that's a good point. I might save most of my strange coins and toc for nownow, as they will be a lot more useful post 300 for grinding the infusion trail.

I had a go with randoms last night, and it went OK. We opened the gate first time, no botherbother.
I hadn't done the war priest before but we got it on the second try. I was doing middle platform and made a mistake killing adds... My gun has firefly and I popped a group of 3 in one go which depleted my buff and then I didn't have any others to shoot so I just died. Will know for next time and not using firefly it doesn't look too bad to pop the occasional add.
Golgoroth was 3rd try I think. I was initially on thrall duty but I quickly realised I was doing one of the most DPS with my sniper so we switched around. I didn't have quick reload unlocked on my sniper but I could get in around 12 shots at around 60k per shot. Saw 100k when we had two supers active.
A pro tip for this, I have seen people successfully complete it using only one bubble at a time. On sight it doesn't look feasible as you spend so much time clearing adds, but actually having 5 peoplepeople firingfiring, a tighter timing as everyone is foccursed on one phase, and no need for thrall duty, more than makes up for itit. Definitely one to trif if we're all online.
We then did the second day jumping puzzle, which was new to me but not too bad, and then everyone had to leave.
I got 8 mouldering shards and a pair of lowly 300 gloves for my troubles
All in all was an interesting session with randomsrandoms!

Finished the Skyburner missions today and then bumped into a random at CoO and the two of us did about a dozen tier 1 and a tier 2. Good fun!
291 now and can see it'll be a hard slog to get higher without raid gear.
Any evidence harder strikes or higher tier CoO drop better engrams? Or all just random?
Need a better ghost too.

It's the start of the Touch of Malice (310 exotic scout rifle) questline. You have to complete a raid, give some materials to Eris, do a few really hard missions and part of a strike, get 30 calcified fragments, do the raid again, get 45 calcified fragments and do another very hard mission. Easy!Anyone done this yet?

on the face of it I wasn't going to prioritise it (I'm at the 30 fragments stage) as I already have a 310 primary but word on the street is that the Touch of Malice does more damage than pretty much anything and looks to be Y2s Gjallahorn.

Mr E - last mission is called fears embrace...apparently it is quite hard.
