Hi all

Bit of an odd one this, aimed at contractors/agencies using B2b Buyer from MSXi.

Working for a large Automotive Manufacturer in the midlands - I'm using the system to input my hours and as I understand it, the recruitment process is also carried out through there (Agencies search for positions listed on it, submit cv's, get interview feedback through there).

What I'm wondering is, how do agencies get access to it? It seems every man and his dog (agency wise, for this manufacturer) seems to be using it and all (obviously) taking a cut. Asking out of curiosity and to understand the value of earning agencies money a little better, it seems if they do the minimum the entire process is handled through there.

Obviously there are some agencies who have a good relationship with a department and go above and beyond, but as a minimum it seems they can recruit with no knowledge of a department or role.

No amount of googling has given me any clue so far.

I don't know that particular system but mostly companies use these sort of systems to track candidates submitted through the application process as it's a lot easier to keep on top of centrally than having them sent to individual managers and HR people. Certain roles can still be assigned to certain agencies.

From an agency point of view you get login details and it's much like a normal corporate careers website where you login and apply on the candidate's behalf.
