Many interesting results to consider.
I watched a bit of it....they were definitely struggling to get cars to competitive levels. RM Auction London 2014 results

Looking at the Bonhams Goodwood sale there are at least a couple of cars that have been on Hexagon's website for a long time....
Claim to have sold this...it was on their website until very recently

it's at auction at Goodwood

There's also a purple 964 RS that they had at the auction.
I really enjoyed watching this last night. Some beautiful cars going through including that lovely Cobra.
I still can't get my head around the price of some of those Ferrari's though. £4m for that unique TdF 250 GT with race history was understandable but £140k for a boggo standard 1989 328 GTS was nuts. Low mileage yes, but that just means you can't drive it without killing your 'investment'.
Personally I'd have had the beautiful 1963 3500 GTi Maserati which was £10k less and spend that money on petrol and posh hotels driving through Europe....

Definitely looks as if the market is cooling and prices are stabilising somewhat. Obviously there are some exceptions.
What is noticeable is that 'modern' (i.e 1980's-) Ferrari's are making strong money at the moment.
IMO... that'll be because the seriously investable ones are now stratospheric/in short supply and just doing the rounds of the people who can afford to dump money into them. Also, "it's a Ferrari, innit" without looking at the relative abundance, lack of pedigree (a bit contentious that one I know) questionable quality, dynamics etc of the cars themselves. The only Ferrari of that era that I think is genuinely special is the 288GTO. BTW I love the Ferraris of that era and would buy a 308 in a trice, but to hang on the wall, rather than drive around, just like I did the poster back in the '80s. What is noticeable is that 'modern' (i.e 1980's-) Ferrari's are making strong money at the moment.
