Hello all.

Just collected an E92 M3 in Alpine white from a local dealer.

I've had BMW's since 2004 when I first bought an E36 M3. Had this for 2 or so years and had a love/hate relationship with the thing but it eventually met an unfortunate ending at the Nurburgring in 2006. All real men's cars should.

Then moved onto an E39 M5 in 2007 and ran this as a daily until 2010. This was a truly great car and never let me down and one that I miss greatly.

It did however start to feel its age and was costing thousands a year in repairs so I moved onto a 2005 E61 535d. This is a car that can cause debate, mostly by people who refuse to accept diesel as a viable alternative, or by people who feel a bit threatened by its straight line speed.
4 years of minimal issues and it served my purposes very well.

Anyway, now in 2014 and with an impending divorce and the associated 'now or never' feeling that came along and I've bought the M3. It's a 2011 DCT, one owner car with 25k on the clock and it's terrific.

Is this the OEM exhaust mod where they weld the rear silencer to make it effectively a straight pipe?

6 months on and a few little additions make the M3 look a little more purposeful!

Holy thread resurrection! Just looking for an old post in my history and found this thread.....ironically after gigantic fafferooney and about 6 different prospective purchases I (basically my wife to be honest) have decided on an E92 M3.....pretty much like yours biggrin

Still enjoying it and any tips on getting a good 'un?
