Been on it for 2 weeks.
Makes shopping a piece of piss, I can only go down about 3 isles.
Loving it at the moment.
Using it to drop BF, I was stuck at about 12%.
Paleo and a lot of cardio seems to be doing the trick (I know its not the cardio because I was doing this before).
Great thing is I'm never hungry and it's not complicated.

I went all paleo a while ago, really enjoyed it. Found myself getting a tad too fussy for no good reason though, so you could call me a lazy, part-time paleo-ist. The general principle is fine and I like to eat good, unprocessed, wholesome food but don't turn my nose up if I'm offered a proper bacon sarnie made with sliced white.

Lost 3 stone in 3 months a couple of years ago whilst being a devout follower. Lost elements of the faith and then Injuries this year (broken thumb, torn back muscles)meant exercise and diet went to pot. Nowadays try to aim for the 80:20 split which is tougher than you'd think.
Just ordered this book to educate myself. Seems better regarded than the official book.

Not sure any of the books are worth paying for. The basic principle is pretty straight forward and can be grasped in a few paragraphs. Most of the books are to simply generate revenue of themselves, or to promote additional programs, materials and over-priced food products and supplements.
I liked Mark's book. It goes beyond just the diet and talks about other stuff as well. The importance of sleep, the exercise habits (lift heavy things, walk a lot and sprint occassionally). It's a bit repetitive in places, but generally he does a good job of explaining what it all is, why it works and translates the science bits into layman's terms where appropriate.
I've been Paleo for about a year or so and it helped me shift 50 lbs. I echo what a few have said and tend to fall much more around the 80:20 split now. I found over the years that I wasnt great with gluten (bloated, tired, etc.. ) so I pretty much cut out bread, pasta, rice, potatoes and legumes as per the Paleo guidlines. However, if nothing else is available when eating out or being fed by family/friends or I fancy a sandwich I will eat those every now and again.
If I find I've put on a few pounds I get stricter and it comes off - so a good way of managing weight without having to completely and radically change things.

Having a good friend who is pretty evangelical about it, Mrs Chaffs and I thought we'd give it a go about this time last year and haven't looked back. Not only has this helped with weight loss, but just in terms of general fitness and well being. Going on the 80/20 rule, we have our moments, but to be honest, the couple of times we've gone properly off track, we've both felt rubbish for it. Beer does however present a problem .. but that'll be the 20%!!

I think most people end up eating slightly less than their usual calorie intake, due to eating less calorie dense food on the diet. Loads of fruit and veg fills you up, with less calories than usual.Cheers
I'm losing weight on the diet, slowly (i.e good) and generally feel so much better eating whole foods and cutting out all the crap. It's really easy to follow, especially if you go 80/20 or so. I still have the odd pizza, or cake or whatever, no one can stop that...
Overall, it's pretty good as it doesn't feel like a stupid diet - it feels like I'm eating how I'm supposed to be. To be honest, you could call it Paleo/Whole Food diet, or just 'the common sense diet' which is really what it is.
