hehe you are classic.

The problem is that oil was not a small part of the Scottish economy, but it's rapidly becoming so with nothing to replace it. Instead of being something that the SNP were going to both spend in huge quantities and save at the same time it's also rapidly becoming an income source that no longer exists.

Fortunately the UK economy is large enough to cope and also benefit from the reduction in price, be grateful to the common sense of the people of Scotland to remain as part of the UK and be able to remain as part of the larger economy.
It's approx 16% of Scotland's GDP, so in the grand scheme of things it's not the basis of the economy albeit it's an important one
Well it's essentially the largest element of the economy, is there any other bit that comes close to 16%?

It will be an SNP win as lets face it

The scottish people are too thick to be able to live without the government controlling as much of our life as possible

no way could we survive under a tory rule where we are expected to help ourselves

Yep can't disagree there

However

They are ignoring running scotland and are entirely focused on getting away from english control

As we scots are too wee and too stupid to succeed without being under direct control from brussels and there is no chance that we could succeed while being in the UK
And here's me thinking that one of the main reasons for being against the SNP is because they're trying to turn Scotland into a nanny state with too much interference in day to day life?

Yep

Leave

And laugh like a fking drain when

England claims 90% of the oil fields as per international law
When the financial sector moves out of scotland
You get kicked out of the EU
When the international borrowing markets tell you to swivel due to walking away from the debt
When big business moves south due to your high tax culture
When england closes the border to secure the border against your no border controls concept

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you do know that the SNP, you know that mob that run Scotland, they are kind of fixed on getting independence, it's kinda their raison d'etre, so unless you're suggesting they should disband.........
I really wish they would, but would settle for them abiding by the promise Salmond made in the Edinburgh Agreement.

Salmond said:
"Firstly, clause 30 of the Edinburgh Agreement is now in operation. On behalf of the Scottish Government I accept the result and I pledge to work constructively in the interests of Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom.

The oil revenue is just a small part of the total of the Scottish economy, which is why Scotland pays more in tax per capita..... but I guess you don't see the relevance.....just boring details to you.
Love to see your evidence for that. The GDP of English regions is very hard to calculate because business operate across border. The same is also true of most taxes, income tax, CT, CGT, petrol/alcohol duties and VAT are all paid via a single tax office. So allocating tax between that generated in one region to that generated in an other is pur guess work. So Scottish tax per capita is two figure which are impossible calculate; divided by each other.

Pedant moment. An independent Scotland would not be kicked out of the EU since it has never been a member.

You get kicked out of the EU you can't be kicked out when you're not a member but a successor state
When the international borrowing markets tell you to swivel due to walking away from the debt mmm deal with a debt free IS or a swimming in debt rUK?
When big business moves south due to your high tax culture you obviously didn't read the corporation tax plan for an IS
When england closes the border to secure the border against your no border controls concept And risk challenging Ireland's sovereignty vis-a-vi the CTA?
