Of course there is enough caveats in there ("in my opinion etc) to keep the yes brigade semi hard.

What a twunt.Of course there is enough caveats in there ("in my opinion etc) to keep the yes brigade semi hard.
Is there a 'Team Scotland' fully backing the No decision to drive Scotland forward as a pillar of the UK?
Why not? It is what the people democratically voted for!

It would be nice to see Salmond to eat his own dog food- and support the United Kingdom.

and that was at 100 dollar oil
now nearer 30%
Actually it's between £55 and £60 dollars a barrel and rising daily - do keep up old chap!!!now nearer 30%
Thanks for backing me there Henry with nice helpful graph.....those lines of resistance are showing a price break out (a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, aside - which is normal).
But you fox has been shot:

Academics saying this oil price shock would have put an independent Scotland in a position where it would need to go cap in hand to the IMF - this is not something electorates get behind.
Particularly as the SNP got the oil price so wrong

debate?
No just call them aholes
Well, I say debate. In the case of xjsdriver, quite often one can spend 4 seconds on a search engine and directly contradict what he's claimed, eg: "Salmond never said once in a lifetime opportunity" No just call them aholes
Maybe one day they will re-enact this sketch in their heads:

The problem is that even when words; and very clear words they are too; are spoken by an authority the Nationalists recognise - they chose not to accept them.
"Scotland has by a majority decided not at this stage to become an independent country,
I accept that verdict of the people and I call on all of Scotland to follow suit in accepting the democratic verdict of the people of Scotland." - Alex Salmond

Thing is nats focus on the few words bolded and salmond used them deliberately in order to keep the die hard nats on side."Scotland has by a majority decided not at this stage to become an independent country,
I accept that verdict of the people and I call on all of Scotland to follow suit in accepting the democratic verdict of the people of Scotland." - Alex Salmond
It keeps the hopes and division alive and well.

Perhaps Glasgow should vote for independence to get away from the Holyrood elite http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2015/02/glasg...

A big part of the SNP support comes from poorer areas of Scotland. This certainly is the case with Glasgow.http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2015/02/glasg...
We know the SNP use poverty to blame Westminster, therefor strengthening their position in Scotland. Is it far fetched to conclude the SNP will benefit from maintaining poverty levels in Scotland?
I don't see them doing an awful lot to remedy this.
Listening to it IF there is no investment there will be 8-9billion barrels coming out if they invest possibly double that amount.
Either way that will end in what 20-40 years time. Possible less if energy production OR electric cars really take off. So strategically Scottish Govt & Westminster really need to be thinking now what happens to those cities and surrounding towns who's jobs are directly or indirectly related to Oil.
What is the plan B? If none then when it ends Aberdean could turn into the ghost towns of the South Wales valleys and Northern England after Coal became unviable.
This is the big picture.
So if a plaster is needed now which ensures the issue is pushed down the road for 20-40 years its probably a smart short term investment.
What next? Tidal power - not really heavy on labour once built.
Silicon Valley up there? Maybe huge data centres its colder so cheaper to run/keep to optimum temps.
However tourism extreme sports winter sports scotch haggis. But no ship building no trident who knows where and IF any finance houses are or are not there.
Same issue for Wales same for N.England same for Devon & Cornwall. A big issue for the country as a whole to understand and do something about it.

Interesting.
So let's just play this one out - what happens IF Holyrood reject this option to identify who is or isn't Scottish for Taxation purposes.
I guess the worry is it keeps identifying individuals who have outstanding unpaid taxes so would instantly face having to pay back those due taxes - or maybe Alex will strike again and somehow write the tax debt off forcing lawful tax payers to subsidise those who choose not to pay tax.
