Had the car two weeks and went for a run in the hills.

On an A road, running at pace, I hit a couple of compressions and after there seemed to be a lack of power and no aptitude to rev.

Pulled into a car park, turned the engine off and back on. And yo, back to full fitness.

What's happened? Why did limp home mode kick in? Did the car think an accident was occurring or?

Anyone with similar experiences and should I be worried?

Car has run fine since.

Cheers.

I get fuel starvation in my M3 when low on fuel and cornering hard. Were you low on fuel?

Did you notice the traction control light flash? I found mine was very very eager to intervine so took to turning it off 90% of the time. If not then as already said, possible fuel starvation?

Ah yes of course!
It will have been fuel starvation as a few days later the fuel pump packed up, so the makes sense. (The cost of this was covered by the seller so im still happy about the purchase)
I was just worried there was something else going on but thanks for allaying that.
