Another cracking 24 hour race at Circuit de Catalunya this past weekend with plenty of British teams including a few PH'rs.

1. WEC motorsport managing a 6th in class and 33 overall.

2. VW Cup regulars KPM motorsport with Tom Onslow-Cole in the team managed 36 overall and 2nd in class.

3. Saxon Motorsport came 46th and 8th in class.

4. APO Motorsport with just 3 drivers were on course to win their class but electrical problems dropped them to third and 37th overall.

5. Zest Racecar Engineering also managed a 3rd in class and 21st overall.

6. Synchro Motorsport had all manor of problems but still managed a respectable 4th in class and 41st overall.

7. TGM had to replace their clutch mid race but still lost most of their gears so by the end they crossed the line with just 5th gear working.

8. Track Enduro managed 24th overall and 5th in class.

9. Despite losing a wheel early in the morning Intersport finished 26th and 5th in class.

10. Duel Racing took 4th in class and 32nd overall.

11. None finishers were the Simpson Motorsport Audi R8 which has been keeping the Ferrari's honest in Britcar this season but only managed 9 hours and 214 laps before being retired. The Blendini Motorsport BMW only managed around 137 laps before being retired after around 12 hours.

12. The overall winner who took the lead in hour 5 and then held it for the following 19 hours was the Czech Scuderia Praha Ferrari 458 gt3.

13. The Kessel Racing team seemed really pleased with their second place.

14. Some were glad to get through the night.

15. The Leipert Lambo looked and sounded awesome but could only manage 14th overall.

16. Last years winner took third overall this year.

17. The pits were always busy.

18.

19.

20.

21.

If you like a bit of endurance racing and with the gradual demise of the Britcar 24 this is a definite worthwhile alternative with great weather (apart from the massive hail storm on Friday night), free entry and reasonably easy to get to.

PH meet next year?

I really wanted to watch this, found the 24hseries website, never seen such crappy video quality, I managed 5 mins and switched to RLM, not sure how long these 24hr races will go on for though, those stands looked unbelievably bare! Cracking race though.

Dubai is the next race for us in January, our home track. 80 odd cars entered already. Its another great event, free access to pits and you can pretty much get around most of the track

Would love to do the other events in Europe but work keeps getting in the way, and they are only 12 hr races. Believe it or not its costs us almost the same to compete in a 12hr as it does the 24hr races

Next year will be Dubai, Paul Ricard and Barcelona again, all 24hr's

I was driving in the WEC Motorsport BMW and if it hadn't been for a throttle cable braking we would have been looking at another podium.

What a great event Barcelona is. A great facility and great atmosphere. The organisers are fantastic and the driving standards this year were extremely high with not one bit of contact for us.

A video of the storm on Friday night can be found here - http://vimeo.com/105858910 -

Hopefully the next stop will be Dubai.

Fantastic, i need to find a better quality online stream of that one, i'll be sure to cheer you on, if you ever need the services of an imbeceil to sweep up your garage, wash stuff and give motivational speeches to nobody in particular, i happen to be a specialist in that field! Best of luck!
