Years ago I used to sell these to dental practices. There was a mixed response.

Do any dentists here have them, do they have any idea what rough percentage of practices are equipped with them now? Are you still paid to take pictures by the NHS?

I've had them for years, brilliant aid to explaining what's going on to patients, every dentist should have one.

Bloody expensive though for what is a glorified web cam.

Don't know about the NHS but charging for photos is taking the Michael rather IMO.

What brand did you sell?

We sold one by DMDS, think it was called the 'Telicam', 'twas about 15 years ago now. They also did digital x-ray systems. I don't remember either being particularly reliable!

One question I do have- what's the typical cost of an annual chair service?

What do you mean by service?

Have the suction hoses changed from time to time as they wear out and I needed a new cable for my ultrasonic because I stepped on the old one but otherwise I dunno.

Are you thinking of getting back into the dental trade then?

Maybe Macgee or Rollin' or someone could help more, I work in France so probably not the best man to ask.
