Question for Steve or Pete or anyone well versed in V8's.....oil pressure drops off after 3000 rpm or under load, I think it could be the pressure bypass spring on the pump, any ideas, is it an expensive job, is the pump easy to get to? TIA chaps

Could be but could also be a faulty sensor. Get the pressure checked mechanically at a dealer/specialist and then go from there. If the relief spring sticks, pressure usually drops to zero in which case do not pass go. Do not start engine, Relay car to garage.

Might want to do that or keep the revs low and the oil pressure high. If it is the relief spring can be easy, can be hard depending on what the problem is that it causing it to stick.

new sender fixed the problem, are these standard rover items? at £58 I should imagine a rover part would be cheaper
