Oh no , always been a fear working in a vets, what to do if fire broke out. Protocol dictates you are supposed to concentrate on getting yourself out safe, reality is we'd all be rescuing the animals if we possibly could!!
Awful way for anyone to go, I hope they were overcome by smoke well before the fire.

According to this they have a 14 year old in custody over it - http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greate...
Just waiting to hear if a local animal charity will need me to drive supplies to the shelter tomorrow

Terrible event. Have been helping out and will do so again later today.
The dogs that survived gave been moved to the sister home, cheshire dogs home and Bleakholt another animal sanctuary in North Manchester. The donations are amazing and anyone in the area of Bleakholt, it's very near Ramsbottom but tucked away, they are always desperate for towels and blankets and these physical donations kick in quicker than cash. It all helps though.

Now at £230k and rising roughly £1K a minute. No amount of money will fix the suffering of the dogs that perished, but hopefully they can rebuild the place and re-home the remaining dogs in the meantime.
Looks like including gift aid that they are over £500k now.Just have to hope someone sets fire to the scrotes cell while he's inside it.
