Right, I plan on scrapping my old 306 after I strip it for the few decent parts it has (cant seem to sell the bloody thing whole). I will be stripping the rear axle, seats, front dampers and brakes.

I'll be leaving it on axle stands but want to know how scrappers collect cars as I can't have it damaging the driveway when being taken. Do some have a proper 'grabber/lifting' type service? (dad will be on holiday and he'd go ape st if it's damaged on his returns).

Can anyone suggest a decent scrap car collector? (I'm in Moortown)

Cheers.

Cheers Rover. Will see how they reply to "Ayyye Ab"

Will prob leave front struts on tbh, so will only be the rear on axle stands. 'Should' make it easier to lift on a truck.

I had a car collected a couple of years ago, it was on 4 wheels and drove.
Scrap merchant collected it with a skip truck, put the chains through the doors and lifted it onto the truck.

Looks like Brothertons in Otley are top trumps. Should be coming to pick the car up (literally) on Wednesday.

All the other scrap yards etc didn't want to know without it being a rolling shell.

Cheers Brothertons. The driver was spot on and didn't damage the drive at all and managed without using the aayyyee-ab.

It served me well for 5 years:
