CP Plus Parking Fine
Discussion
Hello,
I am wondering could anyone offer some advice please?
I've received a demand for £140 from CP Plus. The 'Parking Event Details' are "Out of designated space - M".
The location was Thurrock Services on the M25. I had booked a room in the Travelodge there but when I arrived around 8pm, there was nowhere to park my truck as the truck park was full. I proceeded to park my truck with some others in the Coach Park that had no coaches in any of its 25-30 bays!
Are they able to legally enforce this charge for £140? There was nowhere else to park on site, the room was non refundable and I didn't have sufficient hours left to go elsewhere. £140 is a lot of money to spend under such circumstances!
If anyone could offer any help, I'd be most grateful. Thanks in advance

Id just write to them and explain, you have a receipt/booking confirmation for the hotel I presume?
Thye should be able to check (if need be) on cameras that it was full.
I know when ive got to Cambridge services and there was no where to park, I was told to park in the bus parking bit.

Truck as in LGV? If so, there are driver's hours/safety implications to be considered.
