Hi guys,

Had my M135i just under a year and due to a tracking issue, my nearside tyre is illegal.

Visited my local Kwik Fit today only to find I don't have a locking wheel nut in the boot.

Having spoken with the supplying dealer down south (I'm in Glasgow) it seems that I will probably have to go to my local dealer who will use their tricks of the trade to remove my existing nuts and then fit a new set.

It was originally suggested that I should pay the cost of this and the supplying dealer will send me a cheque.

Does anyone know how much these cost and is it reasonable to expect me to pay in the first instance or is this something BMW should be able to sort without me being out of pocket - even if only until I receive a cheque in the post.

Thanks in advance.

They will just use their own set of keys to remove, and order you a replacement. I broke one due to over tightening at a tyre swap, iirc cost was about £17

As above. There's only about 30 different ones. My wife had same problem with her mini, and by chance it's the same as my Beemer. They should just find which one fits and order a replacement. There shouldn't be a need for a complete change, just a new adaptor. When you get it. There will be a code stamped on it e.g abc30 make a not, perhaps in the service book in case it's lost again. Makes it easier to replace.

Thanks - I actually thought they were about £60 hence my question re. cost! Will call in the morning and see what they say.

Do all M135i models use the same adaptor?

No there's a bunch of different ones as the other guy said 30 or so.

Did you check it just hasn't come out of the polystyrene In the side compartment, mine had done that once.

No tool roll in my car but thanks - it should be located within a polystyrene holder in the boot.
