For that heresy the Scots should have been excommunicated from the Union long ago wink

As a Scot I have nearly lost the will to live. The prospect of a Yes doesn't bear thinking about so I have decided it will be definite No by a reasonable margin and then we can all get on with life again...and vote UKIP next year in the GE (sorry couldn't resist) wink
here here.

As a scot myself and someone who never wanted this mess, Im extremely tired of the whole thing.
Same here, can't wait for it to be over with a resounding 'NO' hopefully.
As someone on the other thread (not sure which of the other 20 tho) said,I am proud to be Scottish, proud to be British but whenever I see a Saltire now I feel a bit of disgust at the Muppet flying it.

Agreed.

I have Saltires on my cars - one's an Ecurie Ecosse badge and the others are next to driver's and navigator's names on the rear side windows. They've been there for years.

I think I may take them all off before I go anywhere this week - and I'm south of the DMZ. They've been tainted by the yestapo.

I remember the good old days when NPE was 100% "UKIP are ace and climate change is a fib" threads. Now look at it. Scotlands, Sah, faaaaaahsends of 'em.
I remember the days when certain legal eagles contributed to the UKIP threads! smile

After Scotland votes to maintain the union, we will see lots of English Independence threads.

Tend to agree with much of the above. Hoping for a resounding No as Salmond is selling them a pig in a poke, but seeing the antics of the 'Yestapo' (well done to whoever invented that phrase) there is a bit of me that hopes they go yes and just FRO.

Lowlights in my contacts with Scotland.

The Newton Stewart chippy that served me a deep fried meat pie.

The Spar shopkeeper that looked at me as if I had shat on the counter after rowing in from the yacht at the Lochgoilhead moorings and asked if they had any salad or fresh vegetables.

The Edinburgh hotelier who thought he was a philosopher poet and scattered the reverse of the breakfast menu with musings that just made one think "tt." Who insisted that if you wanted kippers you had to order them the day before but then served boil in the bag Macrae kipper fillets. Double tt.

Current poll results suggest that few PH'ers shop at Waitrose.
No because you will struggle to find a rock hard salty crust pie with a lump of grey meat/lights/pigs bladder etc inside it on the chilled food counter..

I suspect Tunnock's may move to England if there is a yes vote. It's a family owned company an they are very committed unionists.

There will be at least one thread comparing the carry on at polling stations on Thursday with the fiasco of Tower Hamlets votes.

Officials expecting trouble from Nats.

I love the blurb on the Tunnock's caramel bar wrapper that says that 87 billion are made and eaten each day. The ASA presumably put this in the "manifest bks and so not against the rules" category.

Should there be a thread about the Yestapo getting all frothed up over the BBC's choice of Dad's Army episode on Saturday?

The one where Scot Private Frazer tells Capt Mainwaring he can do a better job of running the platoon and ends up making a total hash of it.

I kid you not, the yes crew are frothing at the gills over it. rofl

Ideally, there should be a thread for suggesting Scotland thread topics.

You're not wrong!

There is a whole forum for Scotland related topics.

Try here:- Pistonheads Scotland Forum

In fact, I'm surprised that the Moderators haven't already moved this thread over there.
