I understand that most natural deaths occur between 3-4am when the body is at it's lowest period of activity.

I wake up each morning and think "well made it through another night".

I don't plan on knowingly being aware I'm dying, like being shot or in a car crash, but;

One day i know I won't wake up and that really scares me, does anybody else have these feelings?

You won't wake up dead so I wouldn't let it concern you.

Indeed although my mate David has a product that will ensure you are as farthest possible from being asleep at 3-4am as you could possibly imagine if you want a number.

OP, if you're under 90 years old then no, that's not 'normal'.

I'd be more than happy if I died that way.

Quite enjoy going to sleep at night and if I weren't to wake up again then so be it. I'd be none the wiser smile

Better than dying in pain frown

That said I think I'm okay for a while yet...

My understanding is that we are all a collection of energised particles interacting with other energised particles. When this lump of particles loses its energetic cohesion we bump around until we find cohesion again. Some people call this consciousness.

What you are scared of is the death of your thoughts, or in Freudian terms, your ego. What you might want to do is understand that your ego helps to keep you alive but is certainly not the entirety of you. Once you realise this you will be able to relax. The death of your thoughts, if anything, will be what frees you. I would rather physically die than be a prisoner of constant thoughts. What-ifs and how can Is - much easier to just be and let whatever needs to come, come.

Anyway [/hippy mode], there is nothing as certain in life as death and taxes. Brad Pitt said that I think - he means that we should just get on with making money and then, when we cant do that any more, die and let someone else take your place.

Aaah, that Brad Pitt. Such a man of wisdom and wise words. Of course my favourite was when he did his infamous "We will fight them on the beaches" speech. That was of course, a nod to internet piracy that was blighting the film industry at the time...

I'll be happy to get to 34/35. Then I can say 'I outlived Jesus'.

For the past few weeks I've been waking up around 3am (and occasionally at 6am too), I thought it was just stress, but maybe my brain is worried that I'm dead and decides to wake me up to make sure?
