Manual sterring box rebuild/refresh

I need a manual zf steering box rebuilt, any recommendations in Hertfordshire/London would be great. Thanks

Have you spoken to ZF? They might rebuild yours or sell you one on an exchange basis.

Hi BRG,

no I haven't but would want to keep this box which is original to the car. I guess a gearbox rebuilder might be a good place to take it for a strip down and check over - then they can probably get parts from ZF.

I may be wrong but I think Reco Prop in Luton used to recon steering components .

Have you tried Jaymic... I've got a receipt with my E12 M535i for some work done they did to its steering box in the hands of the previous owner.

Thanks guys, looks like this place in Surrey can do the job : Holman Engineering Co. Ltd. I have also emailed the place in Luton as thats nearer so thanks for that tip.
