Locations of VIN number XJ12C 1977 (All)

Hi, I am about to buy a project XJ12c with no V5, can some one tell me where I would find all the VIn marks on the car?

From memory it's stamped into the bracket on the nearside inner front wing, where the bar from in front of the windscreen bolts.

There's also a riveted on chassis plate on the inner wing.

Yes thats right as jagmanv12 says plus engine number is located on the back of the block where bell housing meets at the top in centure of the V......if in doubt check out www.xjc.com.au/‎
