Thanks voicey - Reg number is YJ55 UMF, I don't have a VIN for it. Cheers.
I don't have any detail on the car other than it has been offered for sale since August. Average asking prices for a 12,000 mile 430 are currently £81,237. However a significant discount needs to be applied for the interior colour, hard top, year, lack of interior carbon and brakes.

That's a strong price...
Sorry for the thread drift but what does this mean for my car (Voicey)? If I wanted to sell, theoretically, my early 2006 Grgio Silverstone (on black) F430 F1 Spider, 32k on the clock FFSH, Carbon Ceramic brakes, Full Carbon Driving Zone, carbon steering wheel, wing badgets, S/S manifolds, recent clutch, tyres and full suspension refresh would be worth what...?
Your car is very similar to mine. I don't have CCMs fitted (I have some ready to go on), mine is a 55 reg but my mileage is 28k. I would guess sub £70k...Sorry for the thread drift but what does this mean for my car (Voicey)? Sorry but I completely disagree. The most disasterous cars I have bought have been low mileage garage queens with lots of hidden issues. Cars with mileage have been driven and, assuming FFSH and lots of receipts, will be a much safe investment. Lots of items wear / go off sitting in storage.
As an example, low mileage garage queens wont have hit next clutch, manifolds, ball joints, rubber seals etc and you'll be the one left to fix them down the road.
Totally agree. Obviously every car is unique but buying purely on mileage, and intending to actually drive it, could easily mean you end up replacing the things the previous owner didn't need to for the benefit of the next owner if you're only looking to keep it for a limited period of time.As an example, low mileage garage queens wont have hit next clutch, manifolds, ball joints, rubber seals etc and you'll be the one left to fix them down the road.
Obviously mileage is a factor in resale but I'd have more confidence in a reasonable mileage car with FFSH than one that has only turned a wheel every so often.
