SD just want minimum bad publicity. Getting rid of the idiot in question plus an apology for the family achieves everything they need; it wouldn't be in their best interests to keep this in the news.

ETA- I've just realised I've presumed the guard actually did what was claimed without any proof. What if he didn't do it?

The report says 'allegedly' but the guard has been 'let go' so they may have acted in haste. At least the picture doesn't show a picture of a son & father with freshly peeled onions.

Devil's advocate here:

How do we know that it actually happened? Before we get outraged, surely some proof would be helpful?

It is in the papers so it must be true!

And yes its the fail!
I am increasingly despairing of how many thick people read a story in the Mail about a single isolated incident and genuinely believe it is reflective of "what our nation is becoming"
What do you think "our nation is becoming" then? Are we becoming anti-semetic then? Have I missed the pages and pages of newspaper articles about the rise of jew-hating? Or are you just a drama queen?

Exactly, though I don't think you need the Devils advocate, how many kids have been perhaps doing something they shouldn't and made stuff up just to avoid getting into trouble.
Also what's with all this wow WOW st we get it you're deeply offended by an as yet unproved story.
I'll give you another one Sol Campbell was on the news yesterday after being racially abused in Hexham of all places. Someone walked past him and said censored you censoredcensored they didn't really, they allegedly said 'nice tan'

I'm sorry, but I'll have to go with presumed innocent until at least a bit of corroboration available.

He didn't work for the store- they simply told the security company not to send him again.
Many security guards work as self-employed- maybe he was too.

May we see this corroboration? If so, I'll concede your point.

Oh why dont you fk right off, it gets boring seeing holier than thou commentators on here criticising someone for picking up on a story just because it comes out first in the Mail.

I would bet the facts are largely correct and the episode took place as stated. I would be incensed by this behaviour if it was reported in the Morning star the times The Sun or the Fail.
Can't you even read? I'm not saying it isn't true.
I am saying that you are a massive girl reading one story and believing it means that our country "is becoming" st because of one idiot.
There is, and always have been tens and thousands of utter idiots in the UK. One story from one st tabloid about one idiot amounts to exactly nothing in the grand scheme of things and yet you are wailing like a smacked baby about the end of our society

Would be interesting to know the guards nationality, unlikely to be British himself as we don't do those menial jobs anymore.

I think people need a good slap for even reading the Mail, let alone believing what they read.

It's a comic or, at best, a fictional account of the world through some very strange spectacles.

The quote is "wow, just fecking WOW!" If you are going to take the piss over it and show your fake shock at my post at least pay me the respect of posting correctly and accurately please!

Until it is PROVEN to be inaccurate or false then I will assume the story is true based on factual events if thats ok with you. No doubt this one is also fictitious and completely made up? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2757112/Co...

I call this 'coach crash syndrome'. For weeks after a major coach crash, any coach incident, anywhere in the World, is reported by the media.

This is newsworthy because of when it happened, not because it is particularly unusual. These things have happened since Jews arrived on these shores. It just happens to be a time of tension in the Middle East, with Israel under the spotlight. So, this is newsworthy on a national level.

I live in North London. These incidents are relatively common. They are reported by the local rags. This time the Mail picked it up.

Actually, we haven't. When Israel goes batst there is always a spike, but there's no evidence of an upward trend.

Yeah, kids never make stuff up to save themselves getting in trouble with their parents! And Jews never play the 'race' card. And the Daily Mail reporter just happened to be there and witnessed it, it wasn't phoned in, oh no. And, and...

The DM story says he wasn't a SD employee. He worked for a security agency contracted by SD. Was probably wearing a "Free Palestine" badge as well.

Do you have proof that the kids are making it up?

It's just that, if the guard is presumed innocent without further proof I'm struggling to understand how people are jumping to the conclusion the kids must be making it up without the same evidence that proves the guard is guilty.
