Fed up with a big monthly bill from O2.... So just bought outright an iPhone 6 and now need a sim only deal.

Giffgaff do unlimited text and Internet and 2000 minutes for £20 a month - no contract. Is that beatable??? (and 33 hours of calls is plenty!)

If you have no issues I'm sure it'll be fine. Plenty of happy users.
My experience was lousy - cheap for a reason. No support, only user community. Cheap as chips so money lost isn't an issue but the time I wasted trying to get it configured properly means I'll never look to 'save money' with them again.

Three do:

All you can eat data, all you can eat texts, 200 minutes £18 (usually £20)
All you can eat data, all you can eat texts, all you can eat calls £23 (usually £25)

Both have offers on them

I was with O2 for years but kept getting letters saying I was using to much data, at the time I was on an "unlimited" data plan with them.

Jumped to Three and been using 8gb+ monthly with no issues

I've just jumped ship from O2 as well and buying from Apple. Total rip off tariffs if you ask me. wonder how many more people are going to do this. They were saying that ridiculous Refresh system is the only way to have a phone now and i'm not buying into that rubbish.

I'm going Giffgaff 12 pound a month as i tend to text and use the data more.

Depends on the area. At home I have one bar signal, but in some parts of my house I have none. After speaking with three CS about the issues they sent me a signal box which improves reception at home. When I'm in an area of decent reception data speeds are the fastest I've experienced compared to O2, Gigaff and Virgin.

I've been happy with giffgaff since OVIVO closed down. Some of the Three deals are very good but the coverage was poor for me. Get some free PAYG SIMS from providers to test out the coverage?

Me as an individual of course they weren't.

Dad removed his business account with them a week later which the business team tried hard to convince him to stay but we went anyway.

Things have changed from what I understand now though they do offer "bigger" GB allowances think a lad at work has a 4gb or 5gb one from o2

I've been doing it for years with sim free iPhone 3G, 4, 5 and now 6 come Friday. Used to be on the O2 simplicity sim free plan for £20 but swapped last year to 3 and now pay £13 for 600 mins and texts and unlimited 4g on my iPhone 5, which O2 couldn't offer as the phone isn't supported on the their network, need a 5s for 4g.

If you can afford to buy the phone outright then it is a no brainer.

I've been using 3's unlimited data for about 3 years with no issues. They allow tethering of other devices , which works very well for me.
I probably use >5gb per month and have never had a complaint or a warning.

TESCO (O2)

£10, month contract I get 5000 texts, 1GB data and 250mins

signal is st around here but a great deal, but may look into Vodaphone, but I seem to recall that a similar tariff was £19

if I start a Sim contract that will drop to £7.50 ( 1 year)

What were you trying to get configured? APN settings is just a quick google.

Look at the deals on topcashback, they sometimes have crazy amounts of cashback for 12 month sim only contracts.

Currently paying O2 about £38/month for 600mins, unlimited text and 500MB. Just ordered a Giff Gaff sim and will be taking their 500mins, unlimited texts and 1GB data for £10/month biggrin
