Just bought new car

Checked difference on comparison sites between car I have and car I was buying £40

Called insurer today to add car that will be £170!

WHY

As I have a multicar the underwriter at low proce will not cover you on multicar but underwriter who will will be 150 dearer

I'll never forget getting the renewal for the X5 from a certain company. £1,400 if I remember correctly.

I went onto said insurance company and put all my information in, but as a new customer. £650.

I of course went bananas and they can't give me an answer as to why this happened....

Now we get silly

Discovered that 320d & 318d same price to insure two identical cars apart from engine and they rate more powerful 320d at a lower group(95) that 318d (105) My Zafira they rate (84)

Anyone came across that before?

I am sure they could give you an answer they just don't want to admit it!

This happens every year and they ask for the quote reference before they will put it through at the lower price. Annoying to have to go through that hassle.

I wanted to insure my brother on my car for the weekend and the insurance company quoted £80. I then asked how much it would be to add him for the remainder of the policy year (7 months) and it was £70. Never figured that one out.
