I think the wing is just the Lotus Racing Evora GT4 wing, is it not? Junks may have had one available at some point, so might be worth asking him?

The only one I've seen with an integrated third brake light was the Evora GTE Lotus F1 Edition which had the wing made in carbon fibre with one built in, all the other GTE's had it cut in to the rear bodywork. Can't remember if one or two people have attached similar housings to the GT4 wings, but don't think it is off the shelf...

SCREEM had one fitted to the rear screen on his orange car which he posted about on here and SELOC, that seemed quite a neat solution.

Yes mine is the gt4 wing. We fitted the high level brake light into the louvred engine cover and it works very well.

Unfortunately I've decided to sell the car to fund an extension on my house so if you head to the classifieds you can see some pics. Also try searching "lotus evora s spotted Manchester" in google. There should be some decent pics there. I daren't post a link otherwise this post will probably be deleted due to being called an "advert"

I posted a lengthy post earlier saying how sad I was to be selling the car but that got deleted by the mods!

I was at the factory today having the car serviced and looked at both options . Unfortunately the production run of the 20 Mansory wings have been sold and the GT4 wing does not have the high level brake light and therefore likely to be attract the attention of the boys in blue. The light can be added but a time consuming fiddly job . I will wait and see if an integrated light into a wing is available.
Any noticeable driving differences for road use ?

I personally would not agree that the lack of a high level brake light would likely attract the bib. I think at worse it's just going to be a potential issue if you come across an over zealous mot inspector while having the car tested.

In terms of difference to the handling I would say the rear end definitely felt more planted. Also expect to lose approx 15 - 20mph off top speed.

The rear wing comes with a note from lotus Motorsport saying that the driver should drive the car carefully after having the wing fitted to acclimatise to the changes that the wing make to the vehicles handling.

The wing was rigorously developed by lotus Motorsport on track.

Love the look of your car. If I can find a few extra thousand AND it's still for sale in a few months, very tempted to trade up from my MY11.

Cheers thumbup

The car is stunning and turns heads absolutely every where you go. I'm not joking but yesterday when I was taking those pics for the advert two separate cars stopped and commented on the car and two pedestrians passing the car both stopped and commented on how stunning it looked. You have to see the car in full sun to truly appreciate the pearlescent paint.

I'll be really gutted to see her go but I'm just not using it enough to justify keeping it.

It's a third car and I've not done more than 100 miles in the last 3 months!

Obviously tested top speed on the autobahn , do you have actual figures ? However the info is very useful and coupled with the cost I may just be happy as I am . Thank you

My experiences with the car with the standard wing was circa 180mph and With the gt4 wing it was just over 160

I looked online at evora gte power figures (with the gt4 style wing) and found the following:

Lotus Evora Performance Specifications.
Lotus Evora Top Speed: The Lotus Evora GTE 3.5 V6 - [2012] has a top speed of 170 mph (273.5 kph)
Lotus Evora Acceleration: This Evora reaches 0 to 60 mph (96.6 kph) in 3.8 seconds and can cover a 1/4 mile in an estimated 11.61 seconds.

So basically the gte is more powerful but has lost 8mph off the official standard evora s max speed figure of 178mph

The wing is not designed to achieve a maximum high speed but was designed to get the car around corners quicker. Round. A track I'd suspect the wing will knock a few seconds off a lap time. I loved the way the car handles without the gt4 wing but with the wing fitted it was even better.

Don't confuse this wing with the sort you see added to the boy racer brigade cars that are purely designed as a styling function. This wing was heavily tested by lotus Motorsport both in house and on circuit to make racing cars go faster around a track.

having said all that I also really loved the look of the GT4 wing and mainly added it to my car to make the car look more aggressive. Which in my opinion it does.

Went to B& C for a new battery ( not cheap ) for the Evora . In the showroom was a dark navy blue Evora with the Mansory kit , and a Matt black Evora . Both very different and I am yet to decide if I like either , definitely not a dislike

That's an Evora GTE. Did you notice that there is no third brake light. Must not be a legal requirement if the factory can sell without them.

Fitting a new battery is a little fiddly due to having to remove part of the boot carpet cover, and then the battery cover which had 4 screws, and then all reassembled. No doubt B&C charged you a fair amount for the battery...I just replaced mine but bought it direct from Shield batteries on a trade account for £46...about £75 retail. I am guessing they charged you £200+ for the privilege.

Replacing a battery is no more complicated than any other car really. Probably easier than some cars, was a pain on my A4 B6..

There's a guy (HKFever?) Making carbon gt4 replica wings. You can have them with or without the 3rd brake light, its not a requirement for the MOT so its legal to not have one I think.

They look stunning and are cheaper than the genuine lotus one which is fibreglass and apparently it isn’t that well finished out the box. Still the better part of 1k for a spoiler though!!

£181 inc vat and removing 2 warning lights from the dashboard . Car was almost a non runner as an overnight charge just got it going . Saw an advertisement from the AA which offered replacement battery , not sure if they came to the car or the price .
