Still trying to figure out what to do with the sills. I think they might be too bold but I want some color there. There will be some some yellow inside the side strakes to match the inner lipstick so that may be enough. Luckily, vinyl is very easy for me to work with so it's easy to experiment. I took the vinyl on the driver side off yesterday while I see what I come up with. Here's what it looks like without it.

Absolutely stunning KF. I think your choice of yellow accents manage to evoke the history of the brand and yet are very contemporary at the same time, plus I think your interior choice really works. Mine hardly competes in the 'yellow accent' stakes, but I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. Vive la difference !
Yes, but yours comes with the extra pair of vents on the bonnet and all the little goodies which that represents. smile

Try putting a slim strip of vinyl along the top of the sill, where the doors close,so you just get a discrete flash.
Similar to how you've done below the grill,so it's an accent and not so in your face.
That will tie it all in with the grill, calipers and rear yellow accents.

Rather than the sill how about a pinstripe from the wing vent down the sage line through the door?

K-F, is the yellow on the brake calipers not prominent enough?

I have to say that Aston uses a weird color of yellow for their calipers. It is a pale, unsaturated yellow that looks almost pastel. Additionally, they make the Aston Martin lettering on it in silver rather than black so there is very little contrast. Since the wheels are dark anthracite, there needs to be a little more yellow to perk up the sides. Another idea is to add some subtle yellow accent to the wheel itself. Aston also does a contrast inner side strake with the inner color extending back through the line on the door. Might try that as well. I don't know. I'll keep experimenting and see what happens. smile

Could you change the colour of the calipers so they stand out better and perhaps the grill behind the side strakes could be in yellow. Don't know how that would look as I can't picture things like that but it's just a suggestion.

I wouldn't give up on the sill option just yet.
But rather than a solid stripe maybe a more subtle fade through stripe?

Maybe some like this:

or

Sorry for rather crude photoshop, but you get the idea I hope.

Although you have not chosen to comment on my previous suggestion I shall not bear a grudge.
If my suggestion is not worthy of merit I would suggest that you leave it as it is,without further adornment.
The beautiful car in a classic colour with the accents you already have are enough,"less is more" as was first said by Andrea del Sarto and later adopted by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

After looking at pictures of other GTs in this thread I decided that I like the look of the GT stripe after all. The only reason I didn't order it with my car (it was a no-cost delete option) was because the stripe they put on the Alloro Green cars like mine is white in color and it just looked odd with the other (graphics pack) accents being yellow.

So I decided to make my own stripe in yellow—as it properly should've been in my opinion in the first place. I figured I should probably do the harder part first with my custom GT4 logo that shows the green color beneath it.

After putting on the first piece I realized that, maybe, I don't need to do a full stripe. Just the little bit with the logo behind the door looked kind of cool and was "just enough yellow" without having it overwhelm, yet tying in with the other yellow bits at the front and rear.

So here's what it looks like so far. I welcome your opinions. Should I keep it like this, or should I do the full length of the stripe? What do you guys think?

Looks good to me, better then the full sill by a mile, although I thought the faded sill was a good idea as well.

In my opinion it looks rather like an afterthought as it is; a full stripe would be better if perhaps broadcasting a bit too much yellow. Possibly create say 8 pinstripes of yellow full length and relief cut 'GT4' out where it is now? It'll provide the brio without being too overbearing. smile

I like that
Could you continue it and fade it to the green as it moves forward ?

I can't do a fade. It's either yellow vinyl or green paint. I don't know how I would accomplish making a vinyl that goes from a solid color to transparent.
